Tutorial is Perfect: but viewers can skip the Angryip portion, if you have connected you pi with a monitor then you already have the ip address of your pi on screen.
great video, one question, can you ran raspberry pi camera with ubuntu server? i tried it on ros1 and ubuntu server 20.04 but it just didn't work for me
I have not tried yet, but I guess this should work the same. If you can't get the IP address maybe do the process again, you might have made a tiny mistake in one of the steps.
If I want to run ROS2 on a raspberry pi 4 with 4GB ram, could I install ubuntu desktop? Would it make any difference in installation steps for ROS2? This for using a LIDAR module
You can install Ubuntu desktop, however it might make your RPi much slower. What I'd recommend is to have Ubuntu server on the RPi, and Ubuntu desktop on your own laptop/PC. Put the 2 machines on the same network, and you can use RViz/other 3D tools to visualize LIDAR data on your PC, while running the HW driver for the LIDAR on the RPis.
You can actually install the desktop version if you want (I can make it run OK on a 2GB RAM Raspberry Pi), however don't expect crazy performances. The reason to use a server version of Ubuntu is when you create an app for which a desktop is not needed (basically, you run some scripts, servers, etc)
I want to use the desktop version headless like in your Udemy course. The reason is I want to use pyside6 but it won’t install on Pi OS.. is it possible to get screen access from my laptop with Ubuntu desktop?
dude, i try all this but it doesn't work. when i need do my password it says "premission denied". i tried to reinstall standart password etc. other versions. but all do have this problem.

I am trying to use a Link Sys router for my wifi. The RPi imager does not allow me to save the router's admin password. Any suggestions?
Hi, I keep getting "connection timed out" for ssh, any ideas on why?
Great tutorial, any leads on how to do this on Raspberry Pi 5? I don't have a monitor and It does not appear in the ipscanner.

The trick was to connect the flashed SD into my computer and created a file "ssh" without the extension and was all good. Thank you.

Raspberry pi 4 is a pretty strong SBC itself. Why not go with full desktop version ? any performace issues ?
Raspberry Pi 4 with ram less than 4GB can't run the Desktop version. The Desktop version minimal requirements is 4GB of RAM

unfrotunately for me, the user/password i provided in the imager is not working on the raspberry pi itself. i wonder what is wrong
just an update: it's my keyboard locale settings. i unticked it and the user/password worked fine
