Thank you so much for your video great information.. Do you not care who's breeding who are they just meat pigs? Do you separate your sows when they're ready to furrow and when do you put them all back together again

Yes, we do. I highly recommend doing so, as well. We put them in their own pen about 3 weeks before they are due to farrow, and then keep them separated from the herd (but with their piglets) until the piglets are 6-8 weeks old. We then separate the piglets, and put the sow in our "sow pasture." We then wait until it has been at least 13 weeks post-farrowing before exposing her to a boar again. Depending on several factors, we may wait until up to 18 weeks or so...just whatever works best for that individual sow's condition.

Are there any ways to tell if a gilt/sow is in heat if they aren't with males?

Kune's are great natured pigs - they're well worth getting. :)
Plenty of lard on them too for other homesteading purposes.

How long can you breed a kunekune sow? I heard it was like eight years-ish

We were told you can get 4 litters out of a sow before they're about done.
