Not sure what was more interesting in some chandler/antique shops I’ve visited - the items for sale or the people selling them.

What a interesting shop with unique items from sea life and to native Indians. I learned something. Who would have thought Florida. The other shop with Coral and shells!! Sponges. How pretty and interesting. Reminded me of when living in Hawaii when married. We treasured some piece's of white and black coral. Shells too. Saw some lovely ones there. So fitting for summer. Thank you for sharing and taking us along. Always delightful.🍍🍍🍍🌺🌺🌺

Thank you so much, Lady Mary Beth, for taking us to this wonderful antique shop in Florida while you're on vacation. Can you imagine putting on that Navy Diving Helmet? I'm claustrophobic, so I'd probably panic with it on. How people dive in the ocean is beyond me. I am a terra firma lover, for sure. Not air or sea for me. Thanks again. Enjoy your vacation!

    Ah,the Cutty Sark!
I will be in Greenwich,London in September.
I shall be mudlarking the Thames river, which requires a special permit.
It allows me to walk the Thames,at low tide, and find amazing old things in its mud!😊
I will keep my eyes open for antique stores whilst I am there.
    London has the best bookshops.

    A really fascinating shop!
Some years ago when I doing phone customer service, I spoke to a gentleman from Apalachicola. I mentioned some of the history of the area. He told me I was the first Yankee he'd heard pronounce the name right!

Pirates are a bit thin on the ground here…but I do have plenty of rum! Graham was in the merchant navy too just like your dad! What a beautiful town! The Cutty Sark was built in Scotland in 1896 and was a tea clipper. Was a training ship from 1930s till 1950s. X

Hi: Lady Mary Beth! I, too, like interesting shells and coral. Never thought of decorating with a large sea sponge......
Those smaller face sponges are great to evenly apply liquid makeup. It creates a very smooth, matte-like finish.........

Thank you LMB for a wonderful trip into these stores in Florida, while watching you in the first one would you believe I spotted for sale a wigwam for 20 dollars, when my son was small he used to play with his cowboys and Indian figures and has several wigwams like this one, some singular and some double, I must get in my loft and find them, it looks like they could be worth a £ or two. BTW Love the new intro, as always best wishes from UK.

I have such fond childhood memories of that part of Florida. My aunt had a charming beach cottage in Mexico Beach so we were frequent visitors in Apalachicola and Port St. Joe. Hope to get back there someday soon! Thank you for taking us along. Tarpon Springs was another area in Florida that had a thriving sponge industry way back when.

Thank you...I just started watching your videos and so glad I found your site. I love the way you format your vidoes so relaxing to watch...your information is to the point, I'm a bit turned off lately with other folks who have their thrifting videos on UA-cam, too much going on while they're videoing, I find that frustrating to watch... so I think you very much you're just my style of video thrifting.

Hello Lady Marybeth I enjoy your shopping trips a lot.I have a question for you. There is brand of waterford balloon wines and flutes I noticed. They are called millineum. The balloons has pretty bows while some has other carvings. Are they pretty decent? Are they water fords?I see them online for 90 bucks each? Thanks in advance for your help.

    • @LadyMaryBeth
      @LadyMaryBeth  2 роки тому

You refer to the Waterford Millennium Collection from 2000. The bows represent happiness. Wheat-Prosperity, Hearts-Love, Dove-Peace, and Starburst-Health. I bought the entire collection for my daughter born in 2000. Planning on giving to her at a future bridal shower. I doubt she will read this message.
