I absolutely love the consignment and thrift store tours when you are in Germany! All the treasures are so beautiful! The V-B Iris pattern looks so modern considering its age.
A friend in high school threw me a wedding shower at her home. Her family had a grandfather clock in the foyer. They took it right before the Nazis took over Germany. It was museum quality. HUGE!!!! It had multiple dials, ships, constellations, ect. I was spellbound looking at it. I’m 70. I still remember it. ❤❤❤❤
Wow, what a memorable Standuhr!
What an amazing variety of table ware and home decor!! I bet antiquing in Germany must be incredible!!
Sadly, we Germans are not very interested in old things. That’s the reason people would get rid of it.
@@OlgaK-tg8xj Dreamy antiques here.
@@sabinestechert1257 Das stimmt leider.
European antique furniture is just stunning 😍
If only it was as affordable here in the U.S. 😕
Love when you are visiting shops in Germany❤🎉 Great video 🥰
Thanks so much! I enjoy following your travels and great finds. 😉
@@LadyMaryBeth same and always! Love you Mary Beth! Keep having fun☀️☮️💖
What a lovely store with exquisite items. You are so blessed to be able to shop this store. That light green cut to clear vase is gorgeous and would look perfect with my mom's dishes. I really enjoy seeing all these gorgeous items when you take us along with you on your shopping trips. Thank you so much and I hope you had a wonderful time in Germany.
Hey Lady Mary Beth I hope this is a fun story for you the Sheffield bone handled knives I have six of them and they were my mother's and they were her great aunts she was a furrier for the Royals in England
Love your Royal connection! 👑
Hi. Marybeth I would like more videos of tablescapes, I like all your videos, but your tablescapes are exquisite.
I love her tablescapes as well! ❤❤
I absolutely love sharing tablescapes. YT does not share my videos when I create tablesettings. I try and incorporate seasonal settings when shopping antique and resale.
I can’t believe the low prices on the clocks.
Hello, I don't understand numbers in German is it possible to say both , Thank You 😢
Do you mean the prices? I mention several items with US dollar equivalent. Add about 10% to the Euros for an approximate currency conversion. 100 Euros is about $110. Prices are good!
Thank you for the tour. Fantastic as always. 😊❤
@@catladynj Thanks for watching!
Thank you for taking us on a “foreign” shopping trip. I have never traveled, and only been on a plane twice, both times involving going to hospitals. It is so refreshing to see so many beautiful things.
Stay tuned for the Trödelcenter next week. More treasures!!
The furniture! I'd break out in a rash and worse seeing those magnificent pieces at such surprising prices and not being able to take them ALL home with me. Thank you for taking us to a veritable wonderland for those who appreciate exquisite china, crystal, glass and fine treasures.
I feel the same! They’re a steal! Furniture is made so cheaply now. These are quality.
Wonderful store; thank you for taking us along! I loved the two beautiful cabinets you showed us. Europeans made such beautiful furniture. I'm usually not one for chenoiserie but the Ming chenoiserie was stunning - I would buy those pieces in a heartbeat! Loved the cut glass piece too. Great video Lady Mary Beth!
Danke
@@sabinestechert1257 Dann müssen Sie unbedingt hinfahren. Es ist die Reise wert. Viel Spaß!
Hi Mary Beth , that cabinet with the porcelain lamps inside, was very beautiful. Amazing. Was it English?
It's probably a French cabinet. This shop is a short drive to France and I doubt someone would have imported from England.
I loved the unique X Large floor vases!
I was very fortunate to inherit a mid century mantel clock from my aunt. Luckily before she passed she located the winding key for it. It has a beautiful chime. I also wore one of her aurora borealis glass cut necklaces to church today.
Nice that you have sweet remembrances of your aunt.
Do you find alot if RS Prussia in Germanies Antique stores ? I use to collect it. Had a big collection.
Michigan.
Surprisingly, I do not find RS Prussia in our area. Could be because the factory was further East. The Saarland has the local Villeroy & Boch and Bavarian china is also plentiful.
Hello dear Lady Mary Beth❤😊
Wonderful things. But, one cannot shop online and have things shipped to the US. We are left wanting.
@@RaymondBlomont This is a hidden gem for U.S. antiques dealers. You could arrange a shipper to pick-up for container shipping.
Always a fave! Thank you! ❤
Beautiful, thanks for sharing.
@@belindaaiken9171 I always appreciate you coming along, Belinda! 😘
So proud you showed an Elsassian plate ❤ wie zu Hause ! Beautiful pieces. Such French items in that shop . Thanks for sharing. Dominique die Elsasserin
@@DominiqueRingeisen-luciani Thought of you with the Elsaß plates. Lots of French finds here since it’s not far from France.
Hermoso y Elegante ❤💋
I use large German steins as flower vases. I don’t like to see the flower water.
Burger land is our every day « service » . I found it for 30 euros a bargain . Alt strasburg is my mother service .Jetzt habe Ich Heimweh …
@@DominiqueRingeisen-luciani Perfect choice for an everyday pattern. 💙 You can find lots more in our area.
This was a "worth for a rewatch" episode! So we'll done, thank you, enjoy your stay!
Thanks so much!
It is amazing the old Brown transferware has survived. Not sure if older than German Empire but considering the destruction of the country in 1939-45 war that it wasn't destroyed.
Made in 1926, the pattern was witness to a dark history.
You can’t get NEAR these prices in the States!! So many beautiful things in one place! ❤❤❤
Wish I could fill a house with these bargains. Thanks for watching!
The orange and blue Chinoiserie was gorgeous. 😊
You find the most beautiful things I live vicariously through you
Hi lady Mary Beth always love coming around with you lv Ann uk ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Greetings from Nashville, Tennessee! Spending precious days with my Dad.
As a LLadro collector, thank you for showing the piece you found today. I've found my pieces in thrift and antique shops, flea markets and most recently I successfully bid on several lots in an online auction. I've never paid very high prices and have saved/rescued pieces from sellers who really aren't aware of what they are. To think that my collection started about 3 years ago with a small hissing goose to now almost needing another display cabinet! I look forward to your videos! S.
Two of my favorite things: Nativity pieces and Lladro! Wow!
I collect Nativities when I can find them at my local thrift, and I am not opposed to purchasing an occasional "odd" piece. I hope one day to have gathered enough "orphans" to put together a miss matched Nativity display.
(Edit; otherwise, those beautiful "orphan" pieces might end up in the landfill!)
My brother-in-law traveled all over the world for much of his business career. Whenever I asked him about my sister traveling with him and perhaps bring some furniture home if she discovered something she wanted he would emphasize how VERY expensive it was to ship large pieces to the states from anywhere. She has had beautiful homes both architecturally and tasteful interior decor all her married life so sh3 never felt she lacked anything. When you highlight stunning pieces I can’t help but wonder if the situation regarding the costs of shipping is worse now or perhaps improved since so many years ago. In recent years I have met young military couples stationed in Germany who bought many lovely pieces of furniture and shipped them home when they come home stateside. Evidently the costs for military personnel is one of the important perks they have for serving overseas. There are so many amazing pieces, how could anyone afford to ship them?
Dealers ship from Germany and France to resell in Texas. It is profitable with the affordable items.
Thank you , I’m trying.
Guten tag...that about covers my German. Lol It's always nice to see what treasures you find and share your knowledge with us.
Dankeschön! 🥰
@LadyMaryBeth you're very welcome. Wishing you and your family a Happy 4th of July.
Do you think you could show/give us ideas how you'd style that gold rimmed china (the service for 12) with other items to bring it more to life?
Great idea! Will look for an opportunity to do so in a future segment.
Thank you for sharing this. It is so interesting to see other countries and cultures.
Ohhhhh! I have fallen in love with that shop, and with the Iris pattern. You can tell just by the design in the plate that it is old. I am hoping you have a set of the Iris pattern, it is so beautifully organic and natural looking. Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us.
My youngest is named Heinrich...I may need to start collecting the V&B set for him!!!
Villeroy & Boch acquired Heinrich in 1976, and the market bone china under this label. Many patterns from which to choose!
Absolutely gorgeous venue!
The religious items are beautiful. The Iris pattern it wonderful.
In the future, could you please translate the euros to dollars?!
I mentioned several items in dollars. Add 10% and it’s about equal to U.S. dollars.
@@LadyMaryBeth thank you for replying (so fast, too). I exited out because of this. I will re-watch. This info helps.
BTW, your channel is awesome. Keep up the great work 👍
@@LadyMaryBethas a general rule I add
a few dollars and it usually comes close to US $$
Dear Lady Mary Beth: sorry I missed you again. Just came back from Barcelona and Rammstein. As we chatted before, I hope for us to meet in Metz someday!

PS: The video was wonderful as always. Thank you!
Would love that! Chocolate eclairs and tea would be the perfect meet-up.
@@LadyMaryBeth Lovely ❤
Absolutely lovely trip!!!!!
I will take everything ! Take my credit card!
Yes! You could furnish a home without breaking the bank.
You're German is impeccable. My college German professor had spent the summer before my freshman year in West Germany at the time and one evening someone thought she actress German instead of American. She was so proud of the compliment.
Dankeschön! 😉
The V&B Iris pattern is so beautiful!
17:13 WOW! What a vase, I'm in love with it and it's huge! Something tells me you left it behind...any regrets? 😂
Wish I had brought it home.
@@LadyMaryBeth 🤣🤣 When are you going to learn? 🤣🤣 Have a great day!
I know I'm late to the party...what a great place. I'm getting closer to coming back to Europe. Thanks again for the ride!
I will be in Munich in late September this year. May I request you to suggest some thrift shops or outlets and flea markets in that area? Thankyou
Pasadena gets my vote 😍😍😍😍
Where is this wonderful store?
The address is in the video description. Located in St. Ingbert, Saarland, Germany. 🇩🇪

What a fabulous tour! My goodness, so many beautiful things for the eye to behold!
Wonderful showing. I would love to shop there.

Nice history and insight. 😀
Well, that intro was easy for you to say! 😅
Always a delight to watch your videos. I left Germany when I was 21 and since my parents passed away I have not been back. So you are filling the void, taking us to the right places.
Vielen Dank!
Liebe Grüße aus Tennessee! Ich vermisse Deutschland schon. Ich kann verstehen, daß sie es vermissen. 🇩🇪
Wow! I would go nuts in that store!
Such beautiful treasures...I love the V&B Iris and Dresden patterns, and the clocks!
@@NANSC8 More German treasures coming up on Sunday. 😉
Hi from Austin, Texas. You German pronunciation is excellent. I am impressed.
Dankeschön! Stay tuned for a visit to the Trödelcenter and more German. 🇩🇪
I noticed the prices were listed with a comma instead of a period sign . I took most prices to be in the thousands instead of a few dollars. Was I wrong?
A comma is used where we would use a period. For example, €5,20 is five Euros and 20 cents, just under U.S $6.00. Prices were good here.
Gorgeous things 💕
That "Amazona" pattern would be a riot at my home in South America 😊❤
Would be perfect there! This was a short lived pattern, but I remember it well.
Very like from me indonesia
Grrrreat place!!!
Love the starburst porcelain, the light green cut to clear, and the patterned white floor vase!
