Same here. Plus, if I build something I use the standard building blocks, than upgrade. Takes more time + resources, but gives extra XP for all the upgrading….
It's a pretty decent cool video for the result, BUT, and this is a big one: numbers and info. Numbers, text info. Something simple like a floater text somewhere "Put X - X in a square first" or something, would help immensely. Having to pause and manually count like "wait, did he place 9 or 10 blocks there, ARGH wait, I lost count, rewind" is a bit immersion breaking.
Heh, my starter base is always The Cube. I just make a huge cube, 5 layers high, I wanna say 11 or so blocks by 11 or so blocks. With a hole in the roof so I can place a ladder and build future floors till I have a high rise if I feel the desire. Its big enough to hold all my crafting stuff and I can always get fancy with additions and such later on. My favorite part is how it helps me level grind early on. basic wood frame, upgrade to cobblestone, then cement. I really liked the base you built here. Its surprisingly fancy looking without being too elaborately complicated.
Nice build me and the misses just built a giant underground base that took forever. I know the zombies have shovels for hands now but it works pretty well
Reach this is really REALLY cool! It not only works as a starter base! because it's so small and easy to build on the late game can be our little safe zones where we can drop all the loot we just got from a town or a big poi, and even spen the night keeping some food, water and medical supplies... it's just a multifunctional base!
Thanks again for this build! Tried it last night and loved it! The decorating is sweet! I’m adding a little garden to spruce it up a bit. Pun intended tyvm 😀😂 You both some cool cats! Stay Gold mates!
I love this designb and it even functions on early horde nights. All I did was add a corridor entrance 3-4 hatches to it and iron bars positioned like the perimeter ones. Great build
I played lots of the sims 1 2 and 3 over a number of years so building a house in 7 days is a poece of cake for me.. What i really would love to know is, how do you make roads in 7 days????????? Now when i say this, I'm not trying to go over a mountain.. Just make roads that follow hilly terrain.. I've tried by digging a trench following the up and downs of land and filling it with asphalt blocks but it always goes straight over the hills and will not follow the land.. I have two different down grades of land that i need roads on and no matter what i try i ended up with a new mountain of road that is wayyy off from connecting to the exciting roads on the map And following land.. I'm trying to do this on a working map in single play.. And all I've done is wreck the map.. Are there any secrets to making roads that follow grades of up and down land????
@Mr. Reach I thought it was called no clipping when you can move outside the game like fly through walls/air. Sorry if that's the wrong term. It just looked like you were hovering/flying when you were building your base.
i normally do that with the hatch in the door way but ive had to change it round cos of spiders and dogs always trying to break through and you end up doing more damage to the hatch than you want to, so i put a centered iron bars there with a steel re-enforced concrete slab on the top with a 1m square above it then put a hatch on the roof so it flips down, it leave me enough room to get in and out when i put the hatch up and leaves me a space i can shoot through or throw molotovs through, less to repair as often then, ive even got a video up on youtube of my little spot of safety shows what im on about
Lovely work. If i may offer a suggestion: At the "gate" and the firing port in the main building. If you use sideways slopes instead of true cubes you can greatly expand your firing arcs without the need to transfer to a higher position. Obviosuly you want the slope side facing inward otherwise it'll let more Zombies cluster and strike the door at once.
very well done i'd love to see what you do for a small starter base/house in alpha 20 now it's out with all new building shapes only thing i didn't like was little hard to follow if i wanted to remake it in my world but what a great build and joy to watch!
There's no difference.... And no you can't get banned on a server if you are flying because the only way you are even remotely able to fly is if you have admin access, yes I can make a base without flying, go through my 5000+ hours of content on the channel enjoy.
Starter ?? Bro it took 10 minutes before I had 5 zombies and 2 zombie dogs after me, trying to fight them with a stick😭 how do me and my stick gather the resources for THIS
7 Days To Die using a grid-block base system, if you place the first block down like I did you can do the rest, don't be lazy. It's really not hard set UA-cam speed to slow and place each block side-by-side like I did in the video, I mean comeon.
@@ReachGamingis's hard to do it when i don't know how to get the shapes. there's beginnera and there's newbies.I'm newbi. the game sadly doesn't explain much so I rely on youtube videos for asme stuff.. this one shows how to create a base, one you know your way around...
@@nancydumont8584I had the same issue! I couldn’t figure out how to change the blocks to save my life. You have to have a block selected on the hot bar. Go up to a block that is already laid and press the R button (for pc) there you can change shapes. This took me way to long to figure out, hope that helps

Here's the problem with 7 Days to Die there's no headshot mechanic for the zombies you can literally be point-blank with an AK at their head and they're still coming at you that is so stupid
I otally agree, I am what you could call a total beginner to this game and I have no real game e percent e before this in any of these kind of games with building from resources etc. So when I saw a video titled TUTORIAL I was expecting a step by step hand holding walkthrough of at least how to get the first few bricks up. I am still looking looking around at how to gather the resources. This guy has a million resources, stone of every shape and size! No beginner would have that!. Oh well, I'm off to find a real tutorial.
@@hitchwitit7505 I agree. ALso anyone can have all of those resources at beginning, they just have to enable cheat mode and give themselves admin where they can immediately spawn anything in the game.

Would help a lot if you included the length in the description- or Atleast slow the video down as you’re placing.
Slow down the video using UA-cam's slow down mode and just follow set by set its quite simple. 🤗

Awesome video and nice building :) How many days would this base stand on the game?
That is very nice!
You should keep making build videos like this. You made that small house look so good with a paint job and everything.
Mr Reach master builder. Looks good sir
I don't think I am the greatest, I just build what comes to mind and hope it comes out nice
