It wasn't til I heard one that was incandescently passionate but restrained that I realized that Jascha had gone too far!
Whatever the nation let’s value the immense contribution to OUR world of utterly sublime music.
Merci Johan Sebastian Bach !
No doubt Ms Keohane lights up the cantata with her voice very suited for Bach.
Merci madame.
FABULOUS harpsichord, orchestra, singers...wonderful energy, Bach would be proud!
Outstanding performance - especially tenor/violin aria and soprano/woodwind aria - and beautiful chorales.
Exquisite! No one but Bach could have created it!
stupenda esecuzione bravissimi complimenti
Merci Dankejewel Danke sehr Grazie Gratias!!
Che gioia cantare, suonare o ascoltare Bach!
His music is simply amazing, rich and inspiring I would say divine and deep from another realm.always my favorite and the very best!
Absolument magnifique! Des voix remarquables!
Never weshall have such a Bach again. His music flies up to heaven.
His music is from Heaven
From start to finish, this was superlatively good. I'm both enamoured with, and jealous of, the tenor's facility in the upper register, managing as he does to retain heft alongside the brightness, or indeed purity, that Bach demands of his singers. Faaaaabulous.
Best of Bach! His inspiration pours itself into every subsequent generation.
That opening Sinfonia gets me every time!
True but so much more mesmerizing when played on Violin Solo!
Same here!!
I experienced a new classical music world listening to the cantata of Bach. The soprano soloist, Maria Keohane(Swedish) is perfect. The organist's fantastic performance is amazing.
Marvelous soprano, Maria Keohane! Beautiful recording in excellent accoustics. Thank you for making this performance!
She is just ineffable! Gloriana!
Thank you; I was looking for her name. Fantastic timbre, expression, tone, breath control!

i also like her singing a lot.
yea, she rocks :)
I’m my opinion this is Bachs best Cantata. What makes it is the great continuo and strict counterpoint which demonstrates heavily to anyone new to Baroque music, what polyphony is all about. It’s that pleasing to the ear that one has to repeat the video multiple times before sleeping.
And Sato is amazing
So cool when the big organ is used. Impressive!!🤩🤩🤩
Excepcional, celestial... Muchas gracias por compartir esta música insuperable... Saludos. Gustee.
Sublime...and simply breathtakingly sacred moment...
Perfect for my Sonntag morning during this Covid time. God bless and keep your music playing
Molto Bene eseguita , Fantastica ...From ITALY .
Yet another monumental piece of work from Bach

É a minha preferida!
superb magnificent, striking, beautiful beyond words.
That's simply outstanding! I particularly like the tenor aria (and his trill was just perfect). And can't help miss the late Aldo Baldin...he would also have applauded this rendition.
The incredible sinfonia here overshadows the rest of the cantata a bit, to say the least.
Just wonderful.
A stunning performance of a beautiful piece.
More so mesmerising for the musicians mostly standing to play.
It does seem to bring a different quality to the experience - I'd love to see similar 'live'
Bach... ! Always Bach ! Music is Bach and Bach is Music. For ever and ever... God bless him 🙏🎼🙏🎼🙏🎼

Super! Bach's true achievement with the sinfonia is the fact that a performance by solo violin without organ and orchestra is not a reduction but a sublimation.
What a beautiful, pure soprano sound! Bravo! Thank you to all the artists and to the poster. This has lightened my heart today.
Everytime I encounter a new piece by Bach, I do a little digging to find the main melody :). Very fun.
