I think you've been reading my mind. This is a fantastic piece of kit which is not only providing a solution for my live rig that I didn't think existed but exceeds it. I can think of so many ways this will help me get more out of my existing pedals. Thanks for this wonderfully concise overview.
Finding this product that you have has been an answer to a prayer. I genuinely play with an expression pedal on some zones using my Roland rd2000. I have been looking for a way to have my main stage set up work the same way on any type of instrument that I may play as long as it has MIDI. Meaning if I sit down at a Yamaha clavanova, I can basically still have my same setup and feel.
My little green *MIDI expression USB pedal interface* is a great creative tool and problem solver in my home rig. Thanks for making a very useful product! (And a very helpful video as well. 👍)
Im using logic pro x and wish to use an expression pedal to control wah in Guitar Rig 5 as well as Logics own pedal board....will your adaptor allow me to do this....ie plug an expression pedal into my imac via usb
Very nice device and helpful presentation! Can any of the 4 inputs accept any of the supported types of pedals? For instance, could 4 expression pedals be plugged?
Great stuff! Can i use an expression pedal to control velocity of a midi guitar notes? (YRG guitar that doesnt have velocity like a keyboard controller have).
Not at the moment, but very soon. I'm greatly expanding the MIDI transformer functionality, which includes allowing an expression pedal to set the velocity of MIDI Notes. I'm expecting to be done in about a month's time. One thing to note however, is that the new transformer functionality will only be available on the Quattro and the iO.
Can it be plugged in the In of a FCB1010, then the Out/Thru to a Line 6 POD HD for controlling Volume and Wah? The pedal A/B from Behringer are sloppy and have a short range and a non musical expression curve...
*You have got to address your social media marketing..! You by far have the best product line for these types of gear, as far as i can see only rivaled by MIDI-SOLUTIONS. I would hate to see your company go under for lack of support and then boom, here we go back to paying Donald Trump Lotto to midi solutions and no other company pushing the envelope.*
Audiofront I would be using cc for sustain and the sysex would be to emulate what comes out of the left and right footswitches on the volume pedal of the pk7a midi pedalboard, the sysex is for controlling my atelier at900c organ which identifies the sysex to be left and right footswitch which can then be assigned to various controls from the organ menu.
Anything that needs an app means that in a few years time the operating system changes be it on a phone Or a computer which means that a piece of hard work is then non-functional if the company goes bust or just can’t be bothered to spend more money updating the software you’re left with a break so I wouldn’t ever take the risk of buying something like that
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You must be coming from the Apple camp where planned obsolescence is a business model. Luckily MIDI Expression devices are class compliant so they don't require driver updates and I don't see support for USB disappearing any time soon. Not to mention the app isn't needed for the device to work. It's just a UI for editing settings on the device.

Thanks Rob, useful overview. I even learned about MIDI Expression features I'm not currently using but could eventually! :-)
This is genius
Would this work with the Studiologic SLP3-D Triple Pedal?

Hello,
can I use this device to connect a Expression pedal to a Whammy 4 pedal, send commands to it and control the sweep?
Appreciate, thanks
Yes. You would need a MIDI Expression iO so you can connect it to the wammy MIDI in Port.

Yes, each input is independent.

Does it support half damper?
Yes it does.
Can the unit be used to send sysex messages thanks
No, it can't it. It's been requested and I'm thinking of implementing something. What's your use case?

YAM-aha
Can I buy this in India
You can buy from India, but you won't find it at a store in India. And due to COVID restrictions, shipping to India in not cheap.
@@yeahtuna ohhh kk is there any alternative that I can do
omg I have a Yamaha sustain pedal just like that!
