Great video. My 6933 was a complete upper. Paired it with a spikes tactical lower and a super 42 and a heavy buffer. Ejects at 3-4 o'clock. VERY accurate for an 11.5. Nice build 👌.
👏👏 A5 System. Been saying it for years and have plenty of experience with them. Personally I use a Tubbs Flat Wire spring in every AR I have from MK12 to 10.3 guns.
@shootintheshtpodcast I will use a super 42, but the Tubbs is smoother. I won't ever use an A5 again, and when you mentioned it it was spot on. Some are simply getting them free and trying to sell them. Shoot alot and test things and gather your own experience is truly the only standard worth it's weight!
@@chaoticcaninejb I got mine for free… was given to me by a friend. I had to spend the money off the A5 buffer tube. Even then it’s still not worth it.
I have an A5 and noticed either no improvement in recoil on my 10.5 or even worse. I think you’re right. As an engineer, I struggle to understand how it’s supposed to help. I’ll just move back to a standard spring with my strike adjustable buffer so I can tune it to my liking.
I did not know that sir. I didn't know as long as the rifle is 26'' or more, and as long as you don't conceal it on your person, a vertical grip is allowed. I've never heard that. I know I've heard that 26'' number before, just cant remember the context in which I heard it.
Just want to add on the A5 systems, it wasn't meant to mitigate recoils, but to extend the time of the bcg on its rear most position so the spent round can eject without any hiccups and let the next round chambered more easily, this is actually very beneficial when you're running a full auto rifle.
I have 7 rifles with the A5. 4 Vltor and 3 of the BCM Mk2. I'm a fan of it. I will admit they are all mid length gas rifles. I have shot a few of my 6921 uppers on lowers with the A5. I didn't notice it being punchier. It may be the fact that 6933 doesn't have a lot of dwell time. 🤷🏼♂️ There isn't really anything wrong with a carbine buffer setup either. I run on all my Colts that are 14.5. A H2 with Sprinco white hot spring. And the 16 inch stuff just runs a H buffer with the white hot. A buddy of mine who still shoots competitive. He runs two Super Duty's as his mains. With the braided spring setup. Rifles run really good. If I had bought those. I wouldn't change anything. I used to shoot 2 gun some. And did some GWOT shootin' at movers. I'm not a big fan of 10.3's, 11.5's or 12.5's anyway. Ballistics wise they suck. And are intended to be suppressor hosts first and foremost. And used in a team environment. Getting off track...
Maybe I missed it but did you try the A5 system in your other guns? Me and my friends run them in anywhere from 12.5 to 18” and they slap but we use geissele braided rifle springs and H2
Yes. I have run it in a 20 inch, and my 16 inch 605 type and it is good, but still nothing really “better” about the system. The only reason I’m still running it is due to already owning it.
Lack of capabilities. To design, and manufacture a forging and machine the forging is a pretty advanced piece of work and we really didn't have the sophistication to do it any sooner. Work keeps us busy and we have a lot of things we would love to do, and only some of them are things we can find the time and resources to do. ADM didn't co-design the lower. I did that by myself. I wasn't assisted in design, or on a design team.
wrong, the guy that designed the ADM one wasn't happy with their constraints, left and went to griffin and made theirs how he wanted to. They have a podcast of it on their website.
Glad to see you're enjoying the product! Appreciate the review 🇺🇸
Hell yeah, wish I could review that MK2 upper you guys have🤣. But for real it’s a great lower

I like the super 42 but I know for a fact tubbs is the standard

Yes, on a 20 inch rifle, not a 10.3 MK18
@@shootintheshtpodcastI thought it was an 11.5?
@@joshuabruce9920 it is an 11.5, but you keep saying all this hocus pocus about the A5 system, and that was literally only meant for the 20 inch M16

Griffin and adm co designed the ambi lower together why griffin is just now releasing?
It’s been out for like 8 months I think. But it is half the price of an ADM, so theirs a plus.

What mag catch did you use? The stripped MK2 lower does not come with one
