As the years go by, I realize how much Big Jim stuff I had as a kid and didn't know what it was. I imagine it was inherited from older kids in the neighborhood or in with stuff at garage sales, but as a kid, I never thought about what toy line it was from.
@@WeHadThat yes. My dad was a hamradio operator. 70s and 80s hamfests were the poop. So many 60s 70s and early 80s toys came to our boxes. I'm pretty sure Big Jim animals were in there.
@@camcordernonsense5264 That's wild! I guess the internet is the modern version of ham radio, but there's just something more alluring and mysterious about ham radio.
@@WeHadThat I wish I could go back in time and encourage little me to ask dad to pick up all the other stuff too. He would trade rigs, tower bases and walkie talkies for toys and bikes!
They do. I just have to be careful not to start collecting too many different lines...I mean, I passed that point a long time ago, I just need to try not to start collecting too many MORE different lines. -Haha!
The problem with the Swap Meets is that there's just so much stuff! I often don't even notice some of the cooler pieces until later when I'm putting these videos together.
@@WeHadThat I found it for $5 at goodwill. Functioning just no windshields. That was 5 years ago? I just traded it off thinking I dont need this. I ll never find the windshields. stupid!!!!
Prices were mixed. There were some items that were too high and some good deals as well. Overall, I think this swap meet had better prices than the last toy show I attended, but I guess it all depends on what I notice (or ask about) when walking around.
You know that room you have with the old lunchboxes? The other things in there are "toys". They were manufactured as investment opportunities for kids. Now you know...and know is half the battle!
I've always been fascinated by the Big Jim stuff.

All those newer retro figures have so much appreciative work put into them. Turtles, heman and thunder kitties look so good. Apes too!

That chuck /coveredwagon is cool.

@@WeHadThat that would stink to see the one item you wanted and a noticeable .25 label.
@@camcordernonsense5264 Haha! If that happened, I'd track the vendor down!
I should never have gotten rid of my Keaton Batman stuffs.
That is correct. You should have kept it. Seriously though, some of it's actually really cool!
@@WeHadThat I like the convertible Batmobile much more than I did.
@@camcordernonsense5264 Yes! However, I've never had the Super Powers Batmobile and that one is definitely on my "wants" list!
