Always enjoyable to find out more about this underrated line. I first discovered them at that age when I still wanted to play with toys but was emberassed to get figures feeling "too old now" and so would desperately look about to make sure no one from school saw me in the toy aisles and especially not see me getting one. Sort of how these figures were a loophoke; for some reason the store (Kmart? Bradlees?) had them clipstripped all the way over in an unrelated isles (some odd location like Automotive or the like). So I was free to look them over to my hearts content. I ended up getting 3 eventually; a ninja, a red flamethrower guy, and Captain Eagle himself. I loved the comicstrip on the back and had those been in color may have forgone a few more comics for more Eagle Force. Then as quick as they came they went and no one had any idea who I was talking about. Too small to go with my 3 3/4th Pocket heroes and the like, and heavier and harder than I liked, but something ahout them was charming, especially Eagle Force itself. I could almost imagin Jack Kirby himself putting out a comicbook about them. Had I known that MASK was the same size who knows, I might've worked up the nerve to head to the toy aisles regular again.
Your flamethrower guy was Beta Man and Savitar was the ninja. I was lucky to never really worry much about anyone seeing me buying toys. My social status didn't have very far to fall -Haha!
Okay i love collecting figures with my husband and i want an updated version of Goldie Hawk! This is so cool to see these toys i never seen before! I was born and raised in Japan and i married a veteran and introduced to this toy culture. It’s amazing to see and i love these channels introducing forgotten toys❤ love to see Eagle force rebirthed in 1/12 scale and work wonderful details. just not shiny though!😊
Well, a company called Fresh Monkey Fiction has re-made most of the Eagle Force figures (as well as many NEW characters) in scale with the 4" GI Joe figures. Not only that, but many of them have been painted similarly to the originals while others have new paint jobs! Unfortunately, Goldie Hawk is one of the few figures NOT made for that line.
I have a very, very vague recollection of these things back then. I remember the packaging for them most of all. Never got any of them. I was heavy into Star Wars at the moment, which in turn was soon to be eclipsed by GIJoe with my first of those figures in 1983.
Star Wars to GI Joe was my path as well. If the Eagle Force hadn't shown up right at the moment that they did (as Star Wars was going out and before I saw GI Joe), I don't know that I would have picked them up. As it was, the timing was just right for me!
I don't remember seeing the Eagle Mountain playset as a kid, but since I had the Navarone playset, I probably didn't really want the official playset as much as I would have otherwise.
I love Eagle Force. I have a few of the Shock Troopers for troop building. I have all of this line, they are fun to play around with. The die cast metal gives them some heft. Their weapons look cool, but sometimes just fall out of hands. The vehicles are excellent scale. The Eagle Island playset leaves a lot to be desired when compared to the vehicles, but it is from Force Navaronne Playset I think. Still they are fund to have and display. Also their Cosplay sets were pretty cool at that time as well.
I didn't have the Eagle Island playset as a kid, but I did have the Navarone playset, which I used with my Eagle Force figures! As a kid, it felt like a great fit. I never had any of the wearable sets when I was little.
I could absolutely see him being #2. I think the only reason they were minions in my adventures was that I had two of them, so that was almost an army!
The guy with the flamethrower was Beta Man. He was a cool one! The ninja was Savitar. I suspect he was one of the more popular bad guys at the time. I have a video posted on him as well.
I suspect the lack of articulation on the Eagle Force figures was mainly a cost cutting measure, but it may have also been partly because they thought they could get away with it without us kids noticing since the figures were smaller.
First time I saw them was in a Men at Work video for "It's a Mistake".
I remember my surprise at seeing the Eagle Force in that video as a kid!

Great video on Eagle Force and the comparisons and packaging. Nice work!
Thank you! :)

I had most of them, just bought a mint of card recently, huge nostalgia hit!
Nice! Even mine that I picked up as an adult were purchased over 20 years ago!
Knowing anything about him, upon first seeing this guy, I'd of guessed he's an officer.
I think it's his hat and sunglasses.
I could totally see that!
Beautiful small figures, The Shock trooper is stunning
Although I was not happy with the scale when I first saw them, I actually don't mind the size now.
I have a very, very vague recollection of these things back then. I remember the packaging for them most of all.

Looks brutal!
I had a shock trooper with an mp-40. Eagle Mountain was an elusive toy I wanted.
I don't remember seeing the Eagle Mountain playset as a kid, but since I had the Navarone playset, I probably didn't really want the official playset as much as I would have otherwise.
Eagle force did come out at least 6 months before gi Joe arah did. I love there packaging, some of the best of the 80s. It's a masterclass in pop art
I agree that the packaging art for these figures is great!

I remember Shock being #2 like Destro. Guess i just made up my own narrative, i display my Eagle Force.
His hat makes him look like an officer.
I could absolutely see him being #2. I think the only reason they were minions in my adventures was that I had two of them, so that was almost an army!
I had many Eagle Force and RIOT toys. Including vehicles and playsets
I had all of the figures that I could find as a kid, which was all but 5 of them. Aside from the figures, I only had the raft set as a kid.
Had the flamethrower guy back then. Never saw anymore in the wild. Would've wanted the ninja.
The guy with the flamethrower was Beta Man. He was a cool one! The ninja was Savitar. I suspect he was one of the more popular bad guys at the time. I have a video posted on him as well.
I never understood why Mego didn’t use same the articulation used in the 3.75 inch Buck Rodger’s figures that were 100% compatible with GI Joe
I suspect the lack of articulation on the Eagle Force figures was mainly a cost cutting measure, but it may have also been partly because they thought they could get away with it without us kids noticing since the figures were smaller.
Love the content.could you do some on sergeant patch and the A-Team again love the content
Thank you! Although both of those are lines I have considered for videos, I don't have any complete figures for either line.
I had Jeep and tank and about 6 figures, the ninja being the standout
Although I have some of the vehicles now, I only had the raft as a kid. The ninja, Savitar, was a cool one! I did a video on him as well!
Of course I’ve seen that video, I absolutely love your channel!!
