Thanks a lot for watching and safe journeys!
The most beautiful islands in Greece are less known to tourists.Everybody travel in santorini mykono paro naxo crete rhode corfu ,but the small islands are the best.Greerings and hugs from Greece 🇬🇷❤❤
Exactly.
Yes, that’s what we did when we went there.
True
Kos , Karpathos , Limnos , Leros ,pserimos
Hello from Greece 🇬🇷💙
You been a favorite of mine but when you said "Greece is my favorite country" this Greek American became quite happy!
Again Greece delivers....every turn a beautiful view.. .from the rustic to the ruin, the shabby to the chic...This is a stunning Island....with so much history .....look forward to more the same....
Always
Totally agree Jill
Nothing more beautiful than Greek islands in June.
This series is an eye opener. I never even heard of some of these islands. It makes me realize how little I've actually seen of the world.
Great video! I'm an Aussie who just fell in love with the Greek Islands 25 years ago. I have travelled to 9 of them and at the age of 51, I would love to visit more. Greece is a magical place.
That’s quite an inspiration for younger people like me…. U rock! Hope u travel more!! 😁 🥂
@@shubhamvishwakarma317 thank you so much. I plan to travel more. I hope you also have many happy travels also :)
It's well known Aussies have great taste & that's why I decided to visit there in '63. I was 4 & its been a long visit. Even if you don't get there, look up Nidri the beaches & more on Lefkas - even Winston used to take his vacations there.
Just came from Neos Marmaras, Sithonia, going to Edipsos, Evia in july, Serbs love Greece, stay safe Gabe, njoy your trip.
I'm flat out jealous of anyone that gets to live in those beautiful towns
Well, you shouldn't be actually. Greek islands are picturesque and easy going, but trust me,you don't want to live in one of them forever, unless it is a big island, like Creta,Rhodes,Corfu,Lesvos. Nisyros is only a small island and it is ideal for holidays but if you chose to live there permanently, you would regret it. In the wintertime, islands of this size are almost empty and if you needed medical treatment you would be in trouble. And Greek people seem to be so happy and friendly, but this is not the case. Trust me,I am Greek and I know Greeks like the palm of my hand !
@Tabby by the sea Well,yes,the volcano included,lol !!
In Greek Mythology when God Poseidon was chasing giant Polivoti with Zeus orders he cracked with his triane island Kos and throw that big stone to him, This stone is Nisyros island❤
Gabriel randomly exploring is the best thing on YT.
The Gabriel vlog brand is definitely his ability to look the part of a normal tourist exploring destinations, but there is method in his randomness.
@@hcx1853 I was thinking the same thing !!!!
Love Greece, especially Corfu it's a magical island
You are so lucky to travel for a living. If I were you I'd be traveling around all Greek islands all summer, especially small ones. They are the best.
A small, quiet Dodecanese island in the south Aegean Sea between Kos, Tilos and Astypalea, Nisyros is most well-known for its active volcano that has one of the world's largest hydrothermal craters, as well as its hot springs including Loutra and Pali.
Thank you, now that is how you should start a documentary like this.
Hey Gabe -- you mentioned this is your 35th Greek Island -- is there a link or some text anywhere that says which ones are your faves and/or the pros and cons of each?
Maybe you did a video on this somewhere that answers it?
A lot of your subs would enjoy something like that.
If he hasn't, he should make one
It’s nice to see that people from other countries visit other islands than Mykonos and Théra (Santorini).
There are sooooo many different islands with different vibes that is a shame that 80% of the tourists only know Mykonos…
🇬🇷Hellas isn’t just Mykonos guys! Take your research and visit less known islands!
Yup - those shrines by the road are for the people who died at that location in car accidents - but not only for that purpose, some are just small shrines. Those are called iconostases or kandilakia...
A beautiful ❤️ Very Quiet Peacefull place of Nysirpd Greece 🇬🇷 I love it 😍 thanks sir Gabe For your Wonderful walk around tour Godbless from the Philippines 🇵🇭 sir Vhin 🙏👍👍👏👏👏
I've been waiting for so long . . . for you to come around Greece again
Hey Gabriel, I thought for sure you would buy that place with the toilet in the hallway and fix it up so you could have a place to stay when you come to Greece. Then you can rent it out during the times you're not going to be there. LOL
You know it's not a bad idea if you have lots of money to invest. If you like Greece like you do, you could go there every year and spend 3 months exploring.
That enclosed two wheel thing you saw was a motorcycle and they enclose it with that shell. I was thinking about buying one of them for here in Thailand because of all the rain we get but I bought a new Honda 350. It's a little big for me because of my balance problem so I'm gonna put a sidecar on it. That way I can go anywhere I want to and carry a tent and all kinds of other stuff.
Hello Gabriel, I think you are in love with Greece hhhh
I've been here. amazing
Great to hear that Greek music again at the start of the video, there's no doubting where you are when you use that bit of music. Loving this Island.
Gabriel for president of the entire world
I'm Greek and I haven't been even to half the islands you already visited. Hope you have a great time!
I love when you visit places I've been it brings back wonderful memories thank you Sir 💙💙💙 🇬🇷
Another beautiful video to enjoy as the perfect compliment to my cup of coffee this morning in cold rainy WA state! Thanks for these amazing glimpses into your travels in paradise.
Wish I was in Greece right now
Thank you Gabriel ❤😎🌊☀️ seeing videos of Greece never gets old!
Beautiful, looks like it might have been a well of some sorts ❤
Fun suggestion: gradually increase the playback speed during the bouzouki music at 00:35
I haven't watched the video yet (something to look forward to this evening!), but I recently worked remotely from Skopelos for two weeks, although Nisyros was my second choice of island. I only chose Skopelos in the end because the WiFi in the Airbnb I found in Nisyros didn't sound that reliable! I was more than happy with my Skopelos choice, but still hope to get to Nisyros later in the year. 😊
Another great day of exploring! The towns are so beautiful!
Very nice villages, simple but so beautiful and quiet and the path between the buildings looks great.
🌍 *ALWAYS INTERESTING* 👍
Thanks for another great Greece video, Gabe. You may already know this, but Chris and Carol from Jumping Places are also in Greece. At least they were in their last video. They were in Milos.
Gabriel, question, for you, please: Provided that you ever take a rest from travelling, and decide to settle down anywhere, would that "Anywhere" ever be ... Greece?
Another question for you, please: You seem to pack a lot into your days. On average, what time of the day do you get up and then, hit the hay?
Curious only because you seem to make a lot of hay whilst the sun is shining, every day.
Nika is my town. Haven't been there in 11 years so thank you for showing me again.
A great video - v interesting and varied- Nisyros looks very beautiful and definitely somewhere we now intend to visit. We’re actually traveling from UK to Thassos island at the end of June, we know unlikely but would be great to see you go there or even accidentally bump into you on a walk! 🇬🇷
Oh,I love Thasos. I live in central Greece and Thasos is a good and more accesible destination, because I don't need to travel long and endless hours aboard a ship or a ferry. Thasos is ideal in many aspects. But it is being discovered by more people, year by year and it is now a bit not that easy going like it was in the past. In the late 80s,when I first spent holiday time there,it was a secret paradise really.
Thanks for that great video
As a matter of fact my dad was born in that old village called Emborio
He then left Nysiros for Melbourne
I personally spent quite some time at Emborio as a kid in the late 60´s and I can remember
having used what you thought was a toilet. I fact it was a well where people used to
Go and get their water from.
Thanks again for your vids and keep up the great job you’re doing
You have done so many incredible videos and this one is just excellent. It was very enjoyable to watch you explore the little village that is between ruin and restoration. Thank you, from Gabriola Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Great, glad you enjoyed.
Oh my! It looks so much alike Indiana Dunes, the ocean part- do you believe those could be reborn somewhere else, if not anywhere else 😳
Thank you, Gabriel (always) for sharing your travels with us.
You go the distance so we can engage in a bit of ... robe-trotting (armchair travelling sometimes wearing just our jammies / PJs), rather than globe trotting.
Those striped kitty-kats are so damn kute!
I wonder how they get fed. Many look so SCRAWNY, poor things!
And, the villages are also so pretty AND picturesque, as well.
Hey Gabriel! Our traveling UA-cam family just landed in Nepal, and might end up doing the Langtang Trail if the weather doesn’t break in Lukla. Enjoy Greece!
Awesome, you won't regret it. Langtang is incredible.
just beautiful landscape beyond imagination
Moussaka is great. You can cook it when you visit your mother in California. Gabriel, you can use your mother's kitchen to cook the moussaka. It is very rewarding. 🥘
Awesome! Thanks Gabe
Nice video as always.Any plans to visit north Aegean islands?(Chios, Lesbos, Lemnos)They are very beautiful with lot of history to see...
Wish you the best for your travells.
P.s.I said it before in an other video of yours and i will say it again.
At 34:54 you are looking like Gerald from the Witcher videogame when is ready to loot a chest in ancient Greek ruins...😆
Loved it!!!
Most amazing
Beautiful ! Such a great video
So happy to see another video Gabe Thank you
Thanks Gabe
Amazing place
What an amazing video of Nisyros
My beloved island😍!!!
stunning views and a fascinating island great video
Amazing place 🤗Thanks for sharing 👍😁
That was a great video, thank you for sharing it. Subscribed!
Great job working your way around the world
Hi Gabriel, this is a totally brilliant video. Thank you. Nisyros looks amazing. 👍
Great video gabe what a beautiful island thanks for sharing.
I was feeling anxious for you. Great episode mate. I’m always looking forward to the next one. Keep travelling
I really love your videos🌷🌷🌷This one was just great walking the streets of this greek island. THANK youuuuuu💙
wow you can film a thriller in this island thank you again ..for the video
Great video!!! I walk along the beaches of Greece👍 👍 👍
SOOO jealous!
New to your channel, love the video
Like Greece this easy simple life nowhere! Believe me I have traveled whole Europe!
at 36:00 fantastic commentary ..great stuff
That is not a toilet but a cistern (water reservoir),, you can see the groove around the top, that's were the lid would go to keep it sealed,, you retrieve the water just like you would a well.
Waiting for your Greece videos again! Rewatching this one.
Flying there in two days. 😎
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Yay! They're my favorite! 💙 🇬🇷
Yummy..the cookies definitely look yummy....
Gabriel, here are some other not that well-known Greek islands: Karpathos, Folegandros (quite small but worth it), Samothrace, Thasos, Leros, Symi (quite small but worth it), Fournoi (nice food), Patmos, Kastelorizo (quite small but picturesque).
He had been in Karpathos, Folegandros, Symi and Patmos in the past. He has beautiful videos of them.
I love the bit where you swim and film underwater at the end and we see the little schools of fish
Great video ! I just think the Greek pronunciation of Kos is with a short o
This is not a toilet. This is access to rainwater storage or a well.
I agree that makes a lot more sense. In the comments under the previous video people said it was a toilet, but that doesn't seem like the right place for one. Looks more like a water storage tank.
You make Greece look fabulous. So hot in Dallas I’m melting. A good swim would be most welcome. Could I carry your backpack for you😍‼️❤️
I hope you ate at Geusea/Yevsea in Nisyros it is amazing!
Wooooou
Kalimera!
Kalispera. 😎
Any trip to Argentina, Chile and Bolivia??? I can't find any videos on your channel. Maybe a good destination in the near future? 😇🌞😊😎
I haven't been yet, but next time I go to South America those are the countries I want to visit. I've just been to SA once, to Colombia, Peru and Ecuador: ua-cam.com/video/-RDv7O4aGHM/v-deo.html
Loving your Greece 🇬🇷 videos lately, I just posted a video of San Marino 🇸🇲 I’m heading to Tirana Albania 🇦🇱 I should arrive tonight.
Cool, I'll check it out, curious to see what San Marino is like.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos thanks 🙏
@@AnthonyJosh what's your channel ,I was in San Marino in May

Gabe, you do a great cat impression!
The church in the square at 20.00 we went up onside and down the other
Lovely. I have only been to Athens so far so I have a lot of nice things left to explore.
Just back from Italy/San Marino. San Marino was my last country on mainland Europe. Only Iceland left now. :-) :-)
I am at this video right now, so I have some catching up to do during the weekend here. Now work july and august full time.
Thankyou it brings back memories of wonderful times with family and friends. My first trip to my fathers birthplace was in 1977 .I have been back many times .Great island to relax and enjoy the hospitality of the locals . Hope to return in 2023 especially in Pali village Nisiros .
Hi Gabriel, Stunning pictures of the volcano these Islands over the years must have experienced some bad earthquakes at least that's how I'm viewing the damage, and some people just decided not to come back. I often wonder whether you're deciding on seeking Greek citizenship and also seems a good place to fly out from the middle of Europe close to all the areas you travel to. There's no doubt it's a fascinating country a mix of the modern world and the past a very unique country.
Gabriel already has dual citizenship---The US, and Canada. I wonder if we are allowed to have more than 2?
Or as many as we want?
@@margietucker1719 Depends on the country or your political/elite status for having more than two. Too many things going on in Greece yet that tourists may not know about, it is good to wait until things clear up in about another 2++ years or who knows how much more, like 2030.
Welcome to Nisyros Gabriel! This year is very important, because Nisyros is currently working its way to join UNESCO's list of Global Geoparks! As the youngest stratovolcano in Greece (only 160000 years old), it features unique and mesmerizing morphological features like domes, faults, lava flows and of course the well known Hydrothermal craters... Stefanos is indeed one of the largest in the world! A visitor at Nisyros will get to witness things nowhere else to be found in our country (even more impressive than Santorini, geologically speaking)... The entire island is completely volcanic and this, along with its rich history, the traditions, the tangible and intangible heritage, make our island a strong candidate for worldwide recognition! As a contributor to the effort of Nisyros becoming a unesco global Geopark (I'm a geologist), I hope you enjoyed your visit!! Thanks for showing the island to your wide audience, and the world!
Hi Gabriel, did you ran into some fig trees there in nysiros? I like figs and I have a few fig trees at my backyard in Sacramento , Cal.. you are such the best blogger.
Gabriel, you are going to have to live there. It’s your home
This is a water tank gathering rain water from the roof, all old house had one in their basement
I see, thanks.
A water container does make more sense, but I guess if it was a toilet it may have been a squat one that was separated from the stairs by a curtain or wooden door?
Loved it! I was going to go to the Canary Islands and then to Morroco, but then 2020 hit and that ended the plan. Now I'm considering it again. Have you been?
Yes: ua-cam.com/users/gabejedmosearch?query=Canary%20islands
I have a question for you that you’ve probably never been asked before, but does your arm ache after all that filming?. Mine does after ten minutes.
It's been asked before actually but nope, it doesn't. I'm sure it helps a lot that the DJI Osmo is a lightweight camera. My last video was almost an hour of continuous filming.
22:28 That whole valley is a crater! The eruption must have been devastating.
Visit white crater, mount bromo, ijen, borobudur 😁
Beautiful video. Have you ever been in Amorgos island? I think you would like it. It's very beautiful and not very crowded too.
Yes: ua-cam.com/users/gabejedmosearch?query=Amorgos
Absolutely beautiful. Wonderful video. You have to go to Sparta (for the best food & orange juice, "Lakonia Orange Juice"), & close-by Mystras & Monemvasia (magnificent castle cities). Trust me. They're all spectacular. 🤗
I’m honestly surprised Greece isn’t more popular. It’s the best. So many people going to Thailand or Egyptian resorts or whatever instead. Why?
Greece is hugely popular! In 2019 it had over 31 million visitors. That puts it 8th on the Europe list, behind countries such as France, which has the highest number of visitors in the world, Italy, Spain and UK.
Try getting a room on a busy island like Mykonos in August, when you’re also competing with Greek tourists!!
Ann Williams yeah, but compared to Spain it’s still kinda low tho no? It should be top3 with how awesome it is.
But maybe we should be grateful, because then it would a lot more crowded than it is now...
just a thought the toilet might have been a disposal shute. not actually a toilet but where you would dispose of that type of waste. the toilet might have been a bucket of some sort
