I am from India, preparing for my semester exams. I am a management student but we have a subject of psychology in our syllabus, till date I did not take or develop any interest but I have got to tell you that the way you have simplified these concepts it's just amazing and you are amazing!! Keep up the good work, you gained a subscriber. Lot's of love from India!
It helped me a lot in delivering lecture to my class, I always teach first the cues and then asked the students to draw a landscape based on monocular cues
@@snehak3607 I'm not sure that I'll be able to cover those areas because I don't have much knowledge in them but I am planning to make more videos for additional topics in the future.
Distance constancy is similar to these other examples as how we perceive distance doesn't always match actual physical distance. So two objects at the same distance away could appear different distances, or two objects at different distances may appear to be the same distance away, depending on context. A well-known example is the moon illusion, where the moon appears to be closer when it's at the horizon even though the actual distance from us hasn't changed. Hope this helps!
I may make some more detailed videos on sensation and perception in the future but for now this video on Gestalt laws covers some principles of perceptual organization: ua-cam.com/video/lqque_JJRMo/v-deo.html
Perceptual constancy refers to the fact that we tend to perceive the world as stable even though sensations are constantly changing (shape, lighting, etc). Perceptual vigilance refers to how we notice certain stimuli that might be relevant to us and is used more in the context of advertising and marketing.
Studying for my MCAT and I found this to be very helpful, thanks so much!

I love your videos! You seem like the kind of person who is genuinely interested in psychology and you got all A's on your tests xD
I am certainly genuinely interested in it, and the tests became much easier once I was teaching and got to write them myself 😂

what is the difference between perceptual vigilance and perceptual constancy ??
