  • In this video, Dr. Kushner provides an overview of what it means to "sense" and "perceive" something. In sum, sensation is our ability to detect information from the outside world (smells, sights, sounds) and then convert that energy into electrical signals to reach the brain for processing. Perception is the way in which the brain processes and communicates these senses to the rest of the body.

    Another great teaching video 👍🏽
I would love to watch an illustrative teaching from you on neuroplasticity, and specifically how the respective structures and neurotransmitters in the brain interact during the formation of new habits and longterm thought processes.
I know I could string together bits and pieces from a number of your previous videos to tie this together...but would be pretty nice 😊

Thank you again! Neuroplasticity would be a great video. You should look up a structure called the "basil ganglia' when it comes to habit formation. Really cool stuff. There is also a great book called, The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business. I recommend it :)

Damn you are REALLY good at explaining how everything works together. I'm taking a psych exam today and my textbook has everything in separate chunks so I keep forgetting the connections. This is great. Liked, subscribed, saved to a playlist, will watch more!

I have one suggestion only because this was such a helpful video - can you pause and step back when you finish sections for 1-2 more seconds, please? I have many screenshots that are about dodging your hand gestures! Oh and the Auditory Cortex is off screen so maybe just make sure that the video shows all of your writing? Thank you again, so very much!
