- What is color constancy and how does it trick our brain into seeing colors that aren't really there? WIRED's Robbie Gonzalez and neuroscientist David Eagleman use ambiguous photographs and giant props to explain light, color and the science of illusions.

Asmosis Jones um thanks for your detailed explanation but i don’t think you can “see wrong colors” for optical illusions?? cuz there are no “right colors” to begin with? and are you saying that your sister has bad vision, is an alcoholic, and has a messed up brain?
She's not wrong tho. Sea foam green is sorted unspokenly agreed to be one shade, whereas teal is widely disagreed upon- I believe teal to be a dark blue green shade like malachite, and others say it's more of a turquoise, and still yet others say it's more of a pasty cyan shade. That's why colors are so annoying- its subjective
@@razkable I have glasses and saw as grey and teal, I think its purely down to the variation in settings different peoples have in their brains for colours

Ah, the fabulous fun that is color theory! XD And then when you have trained as an artist, you are taught how to see what color something really is. This trickery of light works best when you are using it on a very neutral color like grey. When the grey is on a green background, it will appear more red then normal, it's opposite color, and visa versa.
