    This is awesome. I'm doing a bachelor degree in psychology at an online university and they mostley give me tons of text material to read. While watching your videos I save myself hours of boring and sometimes even complex reading. I'm really considering changing the university. Do you have any recommendation for a good online university or instution?
    Thanks and applause for the good work!

      Hi Marc, I'm glad to hear that my videos are helpful. Unfortunately I don't know enough about online programs or institutions to make a meaningful recommendation but hopefully you find what's best for you!

    Hello your videos are helping me a lot thanks. Would there be any reference about the relationship between proprioception and encoding memory? And proprioception and emotion?

    • @PsychExamReview
      @PsychExamReview  4 роки тому

      I'm glad you're finding them helpful! One way that the link between proprioception and memory can be seen is in phantom limb syndrome, where people with an amputated limb still feel a sense of its presence. For encoding new memories, proprioception would certainly be involved in physical skills like learning a dance routine, but it could also be involved in other activities like reading, which involves subvocalization and tiny movements of the larynx.
      For emotion, feeling things like muscle tension may relate to certain emotional states (such as in the facial-feedback hypothesis) and this is also combined with interoception, which refers to a conscious & unconscious sense of the internal state of the body (heart rate, breathing, digestive function, etc) which can also influence one's emotional state.

      Thank you so much! I appreciate your reply. But then proprioception may not be exactly what I am looking for,, I am trying to find a psychological link whether or not walking through a space(body movement) increases emotional sensitivity and encoding memory of the space. Would you have any reference I can look up? Thanks

      @@ferhyunt That's a great question and to be honest I don't know any specific research on it. I'm aware of research on mnemonics and mentally using physical spaces to improve encoding but I don't know about research incorporating actual physical movement and proprioception with encoding. Some likely exists but I'm not familiar with it. If you do find anything interesting please share it here!

    Sir please teach psychophysics concept in psychology emmerts law and weber fechner law steven powers law.

      Hi, I haven't covered Stevens's power law in any videos, perhaps I can make more detailed videos on sensation and perception after finishing all of the Intro Psych Tutorial videos.
      You can find an explanation of the Weber-Fechner law in this video (I just refer to it as Weber's Law): ua-cam.com/video/QZ3ZkhcBfCA/v-deo.html
      I also describe the basic concept of Emmert's law (though I don't use the name) in this video on depth perception when discussing how objects which are the same size on the retina can appear larger or smaller based on other cues that suggest they are at different distances: ua-cam.com/video/Qr_yBDMd1Z8/v-deo.html
      Hope this helps!
