In Jedi: Fallen Order we learn of the Zeffo. It seems that’s where their connection to other Star Wars stories ends. But it isn’t. The Zeffo have been right under our noses in Star Wars storytelling for years. It’s in Star Wars Rebels, the Bad Batch, the Cassian Andor series, and the Rise of Skywalker.
My theory suggests they may have been founders of the Jedi and Sith…long before the Old Republic.

@Star Wars Fanatic I'm mainly making sure that any new fans don't get the wrong idea, but I'm _also_ pointing it out because that ability to focus and amplify energy could explain why the crystal in Bad Batch S2E5 melted: it could've been plugged back in wrong. I know if a modern integrated circuit chip is plugged into an otherwise functional device wrong, it has a good chance of both being destroyed and of destroying the hardware it's plugged into.

The only problem with the Lothal temple being a Zeffo temple is the fact that the father, son, and daughter are humanoid. Why wouldn't they be Zeffo representations? Unless the artwork and their images were added much later.
The similarities between the Bogano and Lothal temples are pretty striking though. I wouldn't be surprised if the Lothal temple was a Zeffo temple that had just been 'updated' by cultures throughout the centuries.

In canon the language is called "ur-Kittat", and it is commonly referred to as either the "Sith Language" or simply "the Old Tongue". Before Fallen Order came out the Sith were credited with creating the language, although there is no mention of whether it's origins were with the Sith Order or the Sith Species. The Zeffo and language were not some plan from the beginning, It was ret-con'd for the game because fans got a kick out of the language in Rebels. It is also inaccurate to connect the "puzzles" to get into the Temples on Malachor and Lothal to the Zeffo, since they aren't technically puzzles like in the game. They simply require two people, and none of the Zeffo puzzles required that. Besides, the first appearance of ur-Kittat in canon was in Clone Wars S6E13 "Sacrifice", on Darth Bane's sarcophagus.
I do believe they are possibly trying to set the Zeffo up as a replacement for the Qa. We do know that the Zeffo had a different language they used besides the ur-Kittat, represented by the much more detailed hieroglyphs we see through the game and the Bad Batch episode. I guess it is possible that the Lightside Zeffo used a different script than the Darkside ones, but it seems more plausible to me that the Temples on Lothal and Malachor are not actually a Jedi and Sith Temples. Instead they are Celestial Temples, which would be even older than the Zeffo. There is FAR more evidence for this than them being Zeffo. For one, there are only 3 Temples known to be tied to the WBW, (Lothal, Malachor, and Coruscant) and we clearly see the Lothal Gate is controlled by the image of the Mortis Gods. Interestingly enough, the Andor series shows us what I believe to be a piece of WBW Gate control fresco from the original Coruscant Celestial Temple. It cannot be the one from the Lothal Temple because the designs don't match, and the Lothal Temple was not destroyed until 0BBY. It also cannot be from Malachor because the Temple there wasn't destroyed until 2BBY, and Andor starts in 5BBY. My guess is it's the one from the original Darkside Temple beneath the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, where we see Sidious and his scrying pool in the Rebels WBW episode. It most likely would have been in the Archives when Sidious took it over.
And if you think about it, it makes sense that what I call Celestial Temples require two people to open the doors. The Father was all about teaching Balance to the Son and Daughter, who would need each other to enter the Temples. We know it is the Daughter who opens the Gates, and the Son who closes them. Most likely the Father would have just been able to open them by himself, since he was the Balance. I'd image Bendu could do so as well, or Bendu might even be the Father's animal incarnation like his children had theirs. Yes, I know the Mortis Gods died long before we meet Bendu. Or did they? Morai still exists.... This leads me into a theory I have on the WBW, but I've taken up enough space with this post already. If anyone would like me to flesh it out I will. For a tease, the first time we see the WBW portals is during the Mortis arch in Clone Wars, 8 of them when Anakin enters the Father's throne room (S3E15 8:37). Go back and watch the episode, then come back and ask me. ;)
Oh yeah, and there is a functional 4th Celestial Temple still in existence hinted at in the Rebels WBW episode, the only one left. Ezra walks by it at 4:33 into the episode. This is the Temple we'll see Ashoka enter the WBW in during the Ahsoka series, since the other 3 known gates have all been destroyed.

Ha, I came back to the video while researching the Zeffo again after Ahsoka Ep 6, and I guess I had something to say about it already. What a long-ass reply I made back then! 😆
But I believe even more now that they are replacing the Kwa with the Zeffo. Now that we have seen both the Zeffonian hieroglyphs and the ancient dialect of Ur-Kittat both on the Temple at Peridea, and the fact that the Kwa were from Dathomir but thought to have come from an extra-galactic origin, it just makes sense. Hell, it could even be that the Nightsisters are what the Zeffo devolved into after they exiled themselves to Peridea. Or they were a primitive race the Zeffo found on Peridea.
If the Zeffo did create the Gates to the WBW, then that would match the Infinity Gates created by the Kwa. Which means the single known remaining Gate to the WBW that I mentioned in my last reply might actually be on Peridea, and that is what Baylan is looking for.
Or maybe the Zeffo are the replacement for the Celestials... 🤷‍♂ Either way, I believe Ahsoka is where they will introduce the Zeffo to those who have not played Fallen Order, and they will use it as a tie-in to the upcoming "Dawn of the Jedi" movie.

I have been screaming “Zeffo!” Since like 2 years ago and how important they are to Star Wars mythos. I’m glad you found all this. I absolutely see the connections you’re pointing out. I also noticed a connection to the Whills. Is it a coincidence that the night sister statues all look like Whills? I feel like they are all of the same origins (area, not race).

    • @BluhmGardens
      @BluhmGardens Рік тому

@@StarWarsFanatic Could be a connection to the Whills, or the Whills could just be Celestials that evolved like the Ones did to fit a purpose. Killik lore states that the Ones just materialized out of a geyser on a lush tropical planet, arguably the same planet where the Pool of Knowledge and Font of Power reside. This was there "homeworld" in the Galaxy before retreating to Mortis after imprisoning Abeloth, but it is believed that the Celestials actually live within the Cosmic Force. The Whills could just be the last 5 remaining Celestials, meant to keep the Cosmic Force in Balance like the Ones kept the Living Force in Balance. Or vice versa...
I personally thought the Nightsister statues kinda resemble the Zeffo, with their headresses mimicking the protruding skulls of the Zeffo (without the side "wings"). Like the headdresses of all the Nightsister Mothers are an homage to the Zeffo, who first taught them how to use their magick. Did you notice the Great Mothers hold what look similar to the Zeffo astriums, and they even hold them the same as Kujet holds the one on Dathomir?
Either way, I'm excited as hell to find out!

While I really like the whole idea of Zeffo influence being retconned into Star Wars (similar to what the Gree were to the Old Republic), it is actually detrimental to your theory in my opinion to in any way reference those recent movies, which to my mind are the Star Wars equivalent to "What If", because we know that in reality there was no cohesive content planned beforehand in those movies. Also, any influence Dave Filoni had on those movies, aside form a few very minor voice roles, is speculation at best. If Zeffo influence is true that it would be a great journey to explore how the Rakatan Empire (now "canon"--but it never left my personal 'head canon') may have influenced the Zeffo. The influence is clearly there because of the idea of Force-operated technology; something we don't see used (aside from the ability to construct lightsabers) in either the Old Republic or Republic; much less the Empire or New Republic eras.

Honestly, I figured the Bad Batch automaton was that of a Zeffo. Didn't see your theory of the Malachor Sith Temple and Lothal Temple. Though, I saw that the Zeffo were somehow connected with the Ones. When Anakin confronts the Father after seeing his mother, the Father stands under a large structure. On one side, there's Ashla, on the other, there's Bogan and in the middle, between them, there's sth that looks a lot like a Zeffo head. This fits with your theory of the Zeffo using both sides. For me, they are, alonside the Evereni, Rakatans, Wookiee and Sith species some of my most beloved species. They went through what the Jedi went through, uncovered a lot about the Life Wind and the galaxy(the universe, in fact, if that orb is theirs) and have that enigmatic vibe. I know so many believe the sequel Trilogy is trash and admittedly it could've been alot of things especially if written by the same team instead of being twisted and adapted to different creators visions BUT they are entertaining and they can be tied to current and past Star Wars lore. Thank you for granting that! Excited to see what the new Rae story will be and loooove referencing the Knights of Old Republic. Always thought that plot and ancient Zeppho and Mandelore history would make a great movie or series. Wouldn't hate a reboot of that game lol

OK, you might be on to something, but unfortunately you confuse languages, dialects, pronunciation and writing in such a mess that it hurts my linguist's brain 😅
The writing system in question may very well have been Zeffo in origin, but it can easily have been adapted to other languages like Sith later, just like the Latin alphabet was invented for the Latin language but later adapted to be used with other unrelated languages like Germanic ones.
Meaning: No matter what language the Sith spoke, they may have given up their own writing system (or never had developed one in the first place) when they came across the Zeffo one. The Zeffo inscriptions in Fallen Order need not be in the same language as the inscription that Threepio identifies as Sith in TROS.
As to the Zeffo speaking Basic to Cal Kestis: In reality no language spoken thousands of years prior could really be intelligible, even if it were and older precursor to that language, but I guess details like this may be dismissed in this kind of fiction, but I assume anyway that it's simply communication via the force that Cal (and thus the audience) understand as Basic/English.
What I'm saying is: I think spoken language may be dismissed for this train of thought entirely, but the fact that the same script that is chronologically first seen in Zeffo temples is latest seen in what we are told are Sith and Jedi temples is a very very strong indication of some kind of relation and tradition.
Either the temples we encounter were all created by the Zeffo and later repurposed by the Sith and the Jedi, or the Sith and Jedi had both studied the Zeffo and both adopted their script for their own purpose, or of course, as you say, both Sith and Jedi were created by the Zeffo.
So there is absolutely no knowing whether the World Between Worlds was connected to Zeffo, Sith, Jedi or maybe even something yet different, like the Bendu, who might also have studied the Zeffo.
But be that as it may: it seems clear that the Zeffo played a pivotal role in understanding the force and neither Sith nor Jedi might have evolved very far without having studied their knowledge first, if they had not in fact all been Zeffo in the beginning.

It really doesn’t make sense of the Sequel Tragedy. Besides, everything else in this video was made by people who care about the lore and the continuity of the story. The Sequels were made by people who don’t know much about Star Wars and obviously didn’t care. It’s the dark cloud hanging over every new story… if all roads lead to Jake Skywanker and Princess Poppins, what’s the point?
Palpatine needs to stay dead. Luke needs to stay Luke. I wish they’d just ignore it (obviously retconning it would be ideal for everyone but KK won’t allow that) and allow people like Filoni to handle the story going forward w/o being hamstrung by 3 nonsensical, poorly conceived movies meant to cash in while pushing political and social agendas.

    Minor nitpick: Aurabesh isn't a language, it's a script.
It's the name of the Alphabet used in Galactic Basic.
The first letter (equivalent of A) is Aurek, the second (equivalent of B) is Besh
Put them together and you have Aurabesh with a hint of permutation to make it reasonable in pronounciation.
Calling Basic Aurabesh is like calling English 'ABC's.
This does nothing to tear apart the core points of the video, and I say this with no hate, but it's the internet and you said something incorrect, so I am obligated by the laws of cyberville to correct you, regardless of how obnoxious the correction or how minimal the mistake.

The Sith were a species, but the Sith order was created by fallen Jedi! The Zepho may have helped the Jedi form their order, but the Sith were the Jedi's fault.
