Hello everyone. I’m sorry Mr. Creepy Pasta! It’s good to be Abel to watch your videos again. I have been in the hospital for about six months. I was placed in a medical induced coma. I woke up a week ago, but I had trouble moving around for a while, I am home not and have access for a real Wi Fi. Cancer Sucks! 😊

That was good i hope the author turns it into a series
Also the disrespect at the start was baffling to me things like the mom saying he shouldn't have it or the boy thinking he might sell it
And telling people about it when the grandpa said not to tell anyone
Him being follish enough to even listen to his girlfriend when she says we must destroy it
If i got a book like that and my girl said something like that to me i would be like " bish i got a mission now " and run away

So… she was whispering to the guy like she was helping him but she also wants to hunt him down but she’s superpowerful but also has taken centuries to track them all secretly even though she wants to take over the planet? Did I miss something? I do that sometimes, I’ll own it if I did, but I swear I could not follow that arc. Also a lot of these “creepy” stories seem to rely heavily on you not expecting them to have a full explanation of what the monster actually is or what it wants. Y’know… you don’t see what’s eating the swimmers at Amity Beach, isn’t that scary? Just saying.
I find that there's a fine balance between an earie mystery of the threat and understanding just how dangerous it is and why. I can understand what you're saying, and I sometimes see a lot of stories lean too far into the "unknown" territory out of a misguided belief that an absolute unknown makes for the best story. What some of those writers don't realize is that there has to be at least some substance to the threat, some knowledge of it conveyed to the audience to really make it horrifying. That's why the original Lovecraftian stories work so well. Sure, by their nature, the readers and characters within the stories don't know the exact nature of the Old Ones or how they operate, but it's the knowledge of what they can and probably will do if released, especially to the psyche of a man, that makes them such compelling forces of horror.
Honestly, the problem I have here is that they have a pretty Western approach to the Supernatural horrors of Japan. I am not Japanese nor am I an expert on their Folklore. That being said, from what I have learned, a lot of their more horrific sounding stories and legends tend to be less Lovecraftian like this, and more often seen as forces of nature that are not of our world; less space more ghosts or spirit realms. Be it yokai, goddesses, demons, or what have you. Cursed objects stories are plentiful, both in ancient and modern legends. But again, it just feels different here, which isn't bad in every context, but this feels way off the mark.
It is an interesting idea, but it just feels so out of place in both theme, and like you said, pacing of the story arc itself. A lot of whys and hows are not answered, and are very hard not to notice.
