My old man was a diver. He's now deaf in one ear bc some emergency forced him to come up too fast. He won't say any more than that. However, the heavy fog is a way he used to compare poor visibility.
Before that he was a paratrooper. Now that he lives a mild "normal" life he hangs out with some "dirty" people. I think he misses all the danger and now in his late 60's live vicariously through his "friends"

Out of all the stories, the shark one was the coolest. Imagine being out on that platform in a dark ocean and you just see this big mysterious black shark.. stuff of nightmares man

The underwater visual on the screen is just beautiful. It would be cool if they had added some creepy stuff as the camera continues to move thru the water. A sunken ship, or the wrecked car from the story, maybe even a few long lost decayed bodies, sharks coming at the viewer or some disturbing looking fish.
I think this is the creepypasta I've gone back to the most next the the strangest security tape. Just always loved those two

I love these deep sea, dive, lost at sea stories. I love them bout as much as I love the rake stories. And I still have about20 mins of story left which means I get to listen while I do my Monday cleaning at work. ( Am a cook a local diner here in Florida. Only time I get away with leaving my earbuds in at work is Monday cleaning early am and after we close Cleaning hood vents and behind grill pm.

I listened to this in the lead up to an operation that i was in for, 10/10 recommended if you like being terrified and paranoid after coming out of anesthesia for no discernible reason. No shade though, I love this channel.

I went snorkelling on a reef off the coast of Oahu, the captain told us not to go off the reef . Well stupid me , i did. It was like floating off a cliff where you cant see the bottom and the fish got bigger and darker. It spooked me big time , i carefully calmly swam back to the reef and back onto the boat. Creeps me out to this day .

Oh hey! This is one of the first ever series I remember listening to from MCP. Kinda prefer the Search and Rescue Woods stories, though. The horror there is way more nebulous and distant.

Search and rescue diving is a very lonely and serene job takes a special person to do when you break the surface you are no longer at top of food chain and get the joy of feeling like a deer in the woods feels and I don't give a good God damn what people with a degree says is in our gorgeous oceans .I have seen things that would make the hardest man in the world piss there wet suit which is pretty nasty if you have ever did nothing like floating in your own urine
