It depends on the card. If it's a major superstar, grade it. Especially pre 1973 cards. The 71s and 73s are tough to grade. Even the Heritage and Archives have the same issues.
I personally don't send any of my off centered or slightly damaged vintage cards to PSA. If the plan was to sell them down the line, I have to factor in the grade cost which means I get more money in my pocket selling them on e-bay or private collectors. As far as my near perfect cards, its like a marriage. Till death do us part.
Enjoyed seeing the run of Topps HOF cards from the 1960s / early 70s in such nice condition---excellent batch from PSA and seems to have been a quick turn around.
I wonder, when you calculate your offer to the seller, do you account for the $18-$20 grading fee per card on the gradeable ones? Assuming none are worthy of upcharging. This pile here is probably over $1,000 to PSA.

I like vintage reveals no matter the grade. I won't even watch ultra modern reveals no matter who they are.
Thurman's not HOF, but it doesn't affect his popularity among collectors and Yankees fans.

Psa sucks for vintage
