Gave a video like. Fun seeing all these beauties! The OPC Mike Schmidt rookie is terrific! Fun seeing the boxing as well. That’71 Topps Clemente is stunning! Thanks for sharing, Stephen
Another like given StePHen! Some beautiful cards here. Love the ‘56 Jack Johnson. That ‘73 Ron Cey rookie is just fabulous. But the ‘71 Clemente in the 6 is just gorgeous. Amazing card. I love the ‘67 Gibby too. That one is nicely centered. It’s hard to find a ‘67 Gibby that well centered. Great job. Oh, look at the edges of the ‘71 topps to see if there is any black bleeding onto the cardboard edge to check for added color. Still a great Garvey RC. Beautiful ‘52 Minsoso. Nicer than my 1.5. Take care and thanks for sharing!
Great return Stephen, they all look fantastic in their new SGC slabs! Love the boxing cards, those look great and some really strong grades! The Schmidt OPC RC and the 71 Clemente are both great cards and great grades! The 59 fence busters and 58 Spahn cards have amazing coloring. The Preacher Roe and Pie Traynor cards are sweet! Congratulations my friend
Congrats on the nice returns, Stephen! Glad to see some of those boxing cards getting graded. It’s a great reminder of your time well spent with our friend, Mike. The Preacher Roe Berk Ross is the same image used on his '51 Bowman, which I have in my collection. I’m drawn to some of the full-body shots as they show just how baggy those uniforms were back then-not to mention how heavy they must have gotten on a hot and humid northeastern summer day. It doesn’t get much better than the '52 Topps Minoso and '71 Topps Clemente. I love the colors on those cards. Enjoy them, and have a great rest of the weekend!
Thanks Terry. I agree with your thoughts on the full body shots also. We all remember planning in those hot, humid days, but never had a care in the world, because we were planning a sport we loved. I'd hoped they would have had the same feelings. I really enjoy every moment I spend with Mike, he is truly a great friend. It would be great if the three of us could plan to meet one Saturday at Niagara Sports Cards shop and then have lunch together. Talk soon pal.
Congrats, Stephen! Gorgeous cards! It looks like SGV was pretty good with you on the grades for the most part. You have some real blazers in the submission!
Hi Mike. Yeah, I was really pleased with these grades. I saw all the great stuff you were showing last night on the live, just incredible stuff you have pal. Talk soon my good buddy.
not to take away but to just make you aware. watched a video where someone "cracked" open an SGA slab with what looked like NO evidence of tampering. But I loved your cards! I'm 99% baseball, but i enjoyed the boxing cards as well. Probably because i've heard of Joe Louis. if it'd been boxers i'd never heard of, i might think differently. Also, loved that you had the OPeeChees graded. congrats on the grading and thanks for sharing!
So many of my favorite cards! All very nice! Fence Busters is one of my favorites and your '58 Spahn has gorgeous colors.
Thanks a lot.
