I’ve been lucky to have been there a few times and I must say that it is one of the best resorts I’ve stayed in!!!!! The staff are lovely and warm and there is no pretentious behaviour from staff or guests for such a luxurious place and service we found amazing!!! My daughter loves it there and loved all the staff as they made her feel really special!! The kids club was also amazing the staff there are brilliant with the children and made everything fun and interesting, so much so we couldn’t keep our daughter away from the place truly!!!!!! Food is also fabulously and we stayed in a villa with pool and the service there was second to none!!! The beach could get windy sometimes but loved the fact that you could order food and drink while sunbathing on the beach and they bring it to you also they looked after you while on the beach by bringing us a platter of fruit and water in ice buckets and every now and again lovely wet iced flannels to cool yourself down!!!!!!! Fabulous!!!!!!! I can’t recommend this resort enough and I can’t wait to book my place back there once these mad times are over!!! There is so much more I could say about this resort but I would be here forever. If you ever get a chance to go there don’t hesitate, you won’t regret it I promise. ❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful for Pangea to have an 'adults-only corner'. Good to see that not everybody has to be seated where they do not wish to be.

Stayed here a few years back with a friend. We had a room with a plunge pool. One of the best holidays....cannot recommend it highly enough. Such a beautiful place. Really want to go back!

Wow, there seems to be more and more luxurious hotels on Crete. I remember about 10 or 15 years ago the most famous one was Blue Palace, which I could see the ads everywhere in travel/leisure magazines in Taiwan (where I'm from) and that was the only one I knew. Love all your videos.

Thank you so much for posting this Cretan Trilogy. It has been great to partake- albeit virtually. Bittersweet in a way... to see all the development that has taken place over the last decade. Fortunately, Crete is a big enough island that you can still find yourself lost - especially on the south shore. You don't mention the other senses, but I can just smell the intoxicating aroma of oleander and wild oregano, and the shrill sound of cicadas is quite melodious to my ears:) It's the very definition of summer in GR!
IMHO: Your post on Amanzoe set a very high bar and is what I would define as real "luxury". Daios and Abaton come close, but a lot of marble and floor-to-ceiling windows does not a luxury resort make (also Daios looks too dense); Elounda was once very luxury....
Who actually dislikes these videos? Amazing as usual sir.. Greece is a paradise.

We stayed there in 2018 and just fell in love with the place! We stayed in One bedroom Suite with pool on Level 7. Spectacular views (even if a little windy up there!) and the cocktails are amazing! There is a hire car company just outside the gate and you can travel the island as its ideally located for touring the island.

The size of the seawater main pool is breathtaking.

A couple of small drawbacks for me were the noisy funicular too close to the beach; and, the lonely bottle of wine to welcome one.

Wow, thanks for taking us along! However, I am surprised that they off a buffet during covid.
I was surprised as well but it felt safe as the staff put the food on plates (guests could not touch anything)
As usual your videos are engrossing. Have you used drone photography? The aerial shots are simply riveting. But honestly I felt that your room was a bit crammed. Looked like a room from a Best Western hotel although the resort is expansive. The way the hotel tumbles down in a tiered fashion is fantastic. Looks like the holidayers have let their guard down. People seem to care two hoots for the mask. This way they are putting the hotel staff at risk.
Hotel with a private cove ,wow! The place looks crowded . Crete is surely going to be next on my list of overseas destinations. Have you stayed at the Grand Hyatt, Goa? If not , you should be heading there next.

230 rooms and they still cramp that many deck chairs on the tiny beach? and yet its full!
While it would be difficult for someone who is not a guest to get there, I don't think Crete allows private beaches so there may be some outsiders.

Hello again Mr. Luxury Travel Expert, if you’re still in Crete , I highly recommend the “Blue Palace” hotel in Elounda on the west side of the island. I stayed there back in 2017 and I can tell you it was one of the best three days of my life. It is now in the Luxury Hotel Collection and a Marriot member.
Thanks for sharing these hotels in Crete, I hope to stay at one of these fancy hotels when I revisit the island.

best vlog yet i actually felt i was by the pool and wanted to jump in .
Love Love Love the dinner and breakfast buffets, but sadly gone are the days I could DIY by filling my plates to my hearts content. Nowadays, post Covid19, we all have to wait and "ask nicely" inorder to be served... 😳
And I don't like it , I want my buffet
The buffet at Daios Cove remains open during the pandemic (but the staff serves guests as you cannot take anything yourself)

I thought that this horrible mania of "saving a place" using a towel put on the beach chair was only a Brazilian thing. We are not that bad though, since in both videos about Crete resorts people do it. So, it is a world practice after all! Thanks for sharing!

I just wonder that none of the guests wear a mask when inside the building and Restaurant. Also the Loungers on the Beach appear to be quite dense. It would me concern to be honest.

Difficult to stay because they all have their own pros and cons (cf reviews on my blog). Daios Cove has by far the most spectacular setting, pool and beach 😉

I like the way the buildings mimic the rocks along the coves hills with there color scheme and positioning.
I see that in spite of so much new knowledge ,vary few of these resorts offer a wide variety of Vegan foods
and yet they presume to be Earth and environment friendly.
It is not hard to understand because they would lose business, but then don't preach about how you use environmentally
sound items while adding to the pain and suffering of creatures around us.

Many thanks for doing these videos. Many of us in these tumultuous times with global lockdowns etc look forward to watching these. I and my wife hang out in the hot tub at weekends; get the outside tv on and with a glass of bubbly each, enjoy viewing these destinations. Keep up the good work!
