Winter Hot Tent Camping In Snow 15°F | Talking Version

- In this episode I go winter hot tent camping in snow. It has not snowed much this year so I am glad to have this much snow to go hot tent camping. There was about 4.5 ft (1.4 m) but normally there is 8 to 10 ft (2.4 to 3 m). Temps dropped to 15°F (-9°C) and it snowed about 1 inch (2.5 cm). I was excited to use my Ankhiale Outdoors Zeta 1 hot tent again! It performed perfectly and I stayed very warm!

I honestly can’t tell a bit of difference in video or sound quality. I can’t believe your videos up ‘til now have been filmed on iPhone, I thought the quality was great and realistic!

I was going to say! I watch your videos on my 4k tv, i couldn't believe you've been doing these in your iPhone. When the video started i noticed right away that the depth of quality was way better. The color seems more natural and less over exposure. Great video!

@HikeCampClimb definitely, your other videos you would be very red and it was definitely you iphone with the over exposure. Now everything makes sense 😅 but the part you explain that you just upgraded your setup is when it clicked! Now the overall quality its soooo much better. I ended up rewatching the video, but saying again. The depth of quality is amazing, like you metioned no more noise and even with low light the picture is clean. I'm excited for your new videos!

I just got back from a 2 day winter camp with my lady and dog. We were west of Nordegg, AB just on the eastern border of Banff NP. It was superb 👌 im hooked on hot tent camping. People dont know the work involved doing this. I couldnt imagine the filming on top of all the tasks. Glad I found your channel recently, the other channel I follow hasn't posted much lately.
That sounds like a fun trip! It really is a lot of work. Filming makes the process a lot longer for sure but I enjoy bringing you all along for the ride!

Just wanted to say I like your personality and videos. You are doing well with everything in my opinion.
Remember it takes time to start something new and learn everything in doing so. Keep confidence up because you are making everything happen and you have your way of doing things, nothing wrong with that 😊.
I feel like I am there with you camping. I think it takes a certain kind of personality to pull that off in my opinion.
It takes time to get equipment and with that a learning experience to master everything and with filming etc so do you and remember unfortunately in our world and on social media there will be some people that are judgemental and negative and complaining no matter what you or anyone does or not do.
Nothing wrong with taking advice or people giving it either if they know what they are talking about and it's positive.
I read comments on social media and some are really in my opinion people who expect you and others in our world to do things and feel like they do and if you don't well they can be very critical and nick pick everything.
All I am saying is that you are doing good videos in my opinion and yes when starting out there will be learning experiences and upgrades needed over time with equipment and learning how to use it.
People complaining about it took you to long to put up the last tent or complaining about anything in YOUR video is really a reflection on thier unhappiness and judgement on others plus they didn't know all that happen in your video like cutting wood because it was getting dark. They assume alot.
I guess to me is it a big deal really on how long it took you or whatever you are doing in your video?? If I didn't like your video I would simply move on in my life and watch something else. I don't understand why some people have to find something to complain about.
We all have bigger things to worry about in life and our world as well in my opinion.
Anyway I will continue to watch your videos I enjoy them 😊. Beautiful scenery always and I think you do a great video. I enjoy everything about camping videos ❤.

Hey Nate, nice video! The quality of the video is awesome! Glad you like to do both versions. ASMR is cool for me since I am deaf but the talking version is just as cool since I have closed captioning. The winter there looks amazing, I like the snow and getting outdoors in it! I live in east Texas and we have hardly had a winter and it looks like we're going to have an early spring. So I'm kinda jealous of all the snow you guys get up there 😂. Anyway, enjoyed watching the adventure and looking forward to the next one!

Hey Nate...as others have already pointed out big leap in video quality and nice to know you'll be updating the audio soon (making your ASMR videos even better). I always look forward to your videos and really like the two versions you do now. I can only imagine the many hours and painstaking planning and thought process you put into them...not to mention the editing you do. Hi, wie sieht es in dieser Gegend mit Bären und Wölfen aus, Oregon hat ja viele Schwarzbären. Klar die halten zwar Winterschlaf, aber das heißt ja nicht das sie auch wach werden können. Dein Camp ist super gewesen, hat mir sehr gut gefallen .

The video quality is great! I did notice a little latency on the audio in a couple spots, but barely noticeable. What camera did you get?
I always look forward to your videos, from Japan. In Japan, many people are attacked by bears. Are you okay with being attacked by a bear while camping in nature? I'm worried.

Thank you! It is a Sony FX3. The picture will start looking better as I learn to operate the camera better and figure out how to color grade my footage. There is definitely a learning curve lol.

I've thought about it but I run out of things to do while I'm out there. I need to plan a trip where there are other things to do like fishing or something. Then I think a multi day video would be more entertaining. I appreciate your ideas! I'll try to plan a longer trip in the future.
