- On this adventure I went hot tent snow camping in old growth forest. I've always wanted to hot tent camp here in the snow. Many of the trees are hundreds of years old and hundreds of feet tall. The forest gives off an eerie vibe but it is absolutely stunning to see. It snowed almost non stop the entire trip and temperatures stayed around 23 F (-5 C). I cooked up some delicious cheese steak sandwiches on the wood stove for dinner and had scrambled eggs for breakfast. Before I packed up I got to play around with the Dwarf Telescope made by TinyScope. It worked surprisingly well and I can't wait to use it somewhere with an actual view. I can’t imagine anything more satisfying than hiking into a site, working hard to set up then relaxing, dry and warm, with a hot meal, while watching the snow fall.
Its a great feeling when you can sit there and enjoy a hot meal after all the work. Its such a feeling of accomplishment and its very relaxing.

Reminds me of the time I did similar up in Spokane Wa during Air Force survival training. Spent 3 days during the Thanksgiving weekend. That was about 40yrs ago. I actually miss it. Great video. Nice & quiet, no people noise or annoying music.

A cheese steak is so good that it's easily worth doing everything you see here. The cold, the snow, and the cheese steak as the reward. I used to snow camp when I was a kid out in the Pine Barrens - it was worth it! Thanks for a great watch!

Yes, me. I’m going through a horrendous amount of stress atm, but watching these types of wild camping videos does ease it somewhat. I’m planning my own wild/stealth camping trip soon. I’m from the UK & wild camping is illegal in most areas.

I just love watching Bushcraft I remember living in Portland I never camped in the deep woods I went fishing on the Columbia. I claim my son Helens I just now got the camping bug in the Bushcraft about 10 months ago. You have a very streamlined where you can close the doors the flaps on your tarp tent I really like that was a little hot stove. It takes a lot of work to film and do what the bushcrafts do I really appreciate every minute of it is just a treat to watch I watch many bushcrafters I live here in Arizona now I haven't been to Oregon since 2016 I camped in Gold crest on my way to see my friend in Seattle. You are an inspiration as are many others I watch I just enjoy watching the fire open fire or in a hot stove. I camped a lot when I was in my teens I live not quite rural but there was clumps of woods and we used to do a lot of camping. It takes me back so keep up the videos and in the good work I really enjoy it. This is only the second video I've seen by you.

While the tent, stove and dwarf telescope may steal the show, that Theram-a-Rest cot is something under appreciated. The fact that it gets you off the ground in conditions like this, plus doubles as a table, is far more valuable than people realize.

Deep hiking you want to have a plan and check all of your gear and plan more than once to make sure things like that dont happen so that you can stay safe.

Со школы хожу в такие походы, почти прошли всю Свердловская область. Жили в шатре на 20 человек, сшитым в домашних условиях. Но самое удивительное это труба от печки.
Ни чего удивительного. в 70 такие трубы были, если знал где фольгу найти.
А тебя не удивили то, что человек такое ощущение в походы то и не ходил? Вот прям чувство, что он от дома отходит на 500 метров. Без топора, но с бесполезной пилой. Поставил палатку, снег не убрал и уже мокрая жопа.. Да там везде странные решения и кромешный пиздец. 70% веса в рюкзаке это порожняк, это самое страшное.

неправильное место для палатки и постановка. пила что детская? а вдруг не будет бревна меньше диаметра чем она? . без дров останешся,надо сквозную брать. опытный человек сначала бы печку включил , потмо бы кровать ставил и другое. ээх. набирайся опыта а то на 1,5 млн дураком себя выставил
