- In this video I go winter camping in my new Russian Bear hot Tent. This is one of the best hot tents I have ever used for winter camping! I had partly cloudy skies for most of my camp and temperatures were about 30°F (-1°C) during the day. It got much cooler at night with temperatures around 20°F (-7°C) but I stayed very warm. I cooked a mushroom swiss burger for dinner and made apple cider with hot water from my wood stove water tank. I hope you enjoy the video and the new gear!

Out of all the tents you've used so far, this seems to be the best of all, it seems to be the most resistant and suitable for the intense cold.

У меня УП-2, экономка средняя и две раскладушки тойже фирмы, ну и тамбур конечно.
На улице зима, а мы в папалатке с веникиками паримся, а ночевать на раскладушках просто сказка, удобно и высоко от земли.

The amount of work that you put into these videos makes me tired just watching. That huge tent would make an awesome deer blind for a party of 4, complete with wood stove and all the comforts of home. It's mesmerizing to watch you take us through the whole process. 👍👍

I enjoyed watching this video. It peaceful to watch. That tent setup is nice and having that big stove makes a big difference in keeping you warm through out the night.

Fancy stove! Nice side compartment for heating up beverages. Very convenient..also top of stove to put wood in. I think I'd still like to open the front of the stove though to insert wood so you can arrange it the way you want it especially putting larger pieces in. Thank you! Yeah, that stove is nice. Lots of unique features too. I’m glad they added the hole on top of the stove though. A lot of times hot coals fall out when you open the front door. If you wait until the fire burns down it’s not a problem but the hole is nice for just adding a quick log on the fire.

Very nice tent. Many nice features. I don't see myself in snowshoes dragging it 30 miles into the wilderness, but it is one of the most respected 4-season tents on the market, I believe. It works just as good in summer, when the bugs are out.

I'm 60, just bought the Russian Bear Pentagon after using a Luxe Megahorn for some years in the snow. Can't wait to try it out this winter! Heading out to the interior of BC, Canada!
У меня тоже палатка фирмы Берег, только больше, УП-5, ветер держит до 20 м/с. Зимой, с печкой, можно поддерживать температуру 25 градусов Цельсия без проблем.
Советую колышки сделать из уголка железного 25 мм и длинной 50 см.
А обувь лучше подвесить под потолок, там хорошо она высохнет.

@@HikeCampClimb This was for demonstration, but in normal use would you really be willing to haul that much gear and do that much set up and take down for a trip less than five days long? I wouldn't. For an overnighter, I'd go a lot lighter.

It takes a lot of strength to pull all the necessities into your camp, but boy is sure worth it. What is it with a fascination of going out in something so extreme and living on the edge of life! Sounds good to me, hunker down good food and respect for nature.

Another awesome video! Recently purchased the Jetboil stove, the frying pan you use (although my 8" pan looks smaller than yours), and the medium containers. Going to order the large containers next. Game changers in the ice fishing hut! Do you have a recommendation for your fingerless gloves? I get caught in the "need something, but full gloves are too bulky" phase where I am constantly taking them off and putting them back on.
You stayed warm in that thing.... with a stove at 20°F?? I am blown away.

Everything went like clockwork - like a slick advertisement with a bartender and a cocktail shaker - seemingly effortless.The tent is very spacious and at one point when supper was served i expected a polite cough or knock at the door and a whole group of friends arrive for a party and it becomes a scene from an advertisement for vodka/martini/after eight mints ! You've read Marie Kondo - how to declutter and it's paid off,certainly.

Pomoly must make the best hot tent stoves. The side tank is a nice addition. Jay Legere has used the Russian bear tent and he says they bare very warm...keep the heat in real well. Tent is plenty big. I watched you clean the snow off the floor. Another bushcrafter i watch uses a spruce bough as a broom.
Pomoly stoves are really well made. They have a lot of cool additions too like that water tank. That tent is the warmest hot tent I own by far! It’s almost too hot. I’ve only used it in just below freezing temps and it gets way to hot lol. Overall, one of my all time favorite hot tents.
I've carried a small plastic whisk broom to keep the tent tidy.
