Wind Too Strong For Drones - Kite Fishing

You've seen us fishing a lot lately with the drones, but on days when the wind is too strong did you know you can use a kite, using the same tackle as your drone? Adding a kite to your fishing kit gives you the option of fishing in winds that are too strong for the drone, giving you a lot more fishing days.
Using a fishing kite to cast ten hooks baited with fresh mullet around 900 metres off Muriwai beach using a game fishing rod and reel in winds too strong for the drone. The kite fishing kit is a Flexi-Wing kite, flown on 80lb Spectra line. Rigging instructions for the kite fishing kit used are included and rigging instructions and diagrams for many other kite fishing techniques are explained near the end of the video.

Thanks for uploading, love your vids... I use a release clip on the hook section when kite fishing, I've been experimenting in the UK as its not really popular here. due to snags i'll probably end up loosing the kite if i tried fixing the hook line to the kite line. Keep up the good work :)

You should try the setup where the kite is on one real and each leader has their own real. Its pretty cool to manage and lets you keep bait in the water longer.
