  • After 10 years of service, it was time to change out the fire bricks in the wood stove. We have a Kitchen Queen Wood Cook Stove, but this technique could be used for any wood stove.

Great job, only had to do this once in my life... so far. God Bless and stay safe.

I bought but have yet to install a Kitchen Queen stove, so I have a few questions. Which model do you have? How does it heat your space (and how many sqft)? Have you ever had any problems with those angle fittings on your thermosiphon heater leaking?
We bought a 750 and had a much bigger house in mind originally, now we'll have a much smaller cabin and I'm afraid it might be too big.

Amazon is where I bought the brick. I wanted to buy direct from the company, but they were more expensive.

A cement blade on a 4-5 in angle grinder I think would make a lot more dust but would get through this in seconds opposed to the God knows how much time you spent on it. Just thought for your next time.

@Jeffrey surprisingly not that much time to saw through it, a minute or two at the most.
