This was a simple time when people cared about each other. Those days are gone.

    Absolutely wonderful video!
    So enjoyable to watch.
In addition to the wonderful names mentioned in the description, I saw Tom Weiskopf in the video.

Do you have any video or a pic of Jackie's gold cart? He was the first person to eve have a gold golf cart. He was the original BLING. I was lucky enough to attend these events in this video. Well my mom worked at Motorola and she got tickets every year. The auto-graphs and pics i have from these days. I learned rather quik. When President Ford was teein off. Get behind a tree or you might get hit in the head with a golfball. Evel Knievel always threw his putter in the water on the 18th hole

No, sorry. We convert old reels digitally. We stumbled upon this and got permission to share it. Bob and Jackie were monumental entertainers and soon they'll be all but forgotten. Most people wouldn't know who Bobby Goldsboro, Maury Amsterdam or David Hartman was but Hope and Gleason are icons. Thanks for the interesting comment.

Inverrary was the spot back then. Now a condo slum.

I grew up in inverrary...we had the best times skipping school and sneaking into the golf tournament on the 2 celebrity days ...we met so many people......when we lived in international village we took a canoe and ate lunch on Gleason's back lawn lol..,they use to have the Miami dolphins breakfast at the country club..as kids we snuck into the country club and had our noses up against the glass watching all the dolphins and a very sweet kind elderly gentleman came out to us and invited us in to meet the team!!! Neither of our single moms could afford a country club membership. They used all their money for that high inverrary rent. Lol it was a blast growing up in inverrary at that time and the sneaking into things was lots of fun!! Thanks Mom!!

@@angelshark64 Nice. I was told a story by my mother that a friend of hers owned modifed Plymouth Roadrunners. They lead the police on a chase through the club supposedly. Possibly driving through the course. Would love to verify the story. Some of her friends also lived in Jacaranda.

That golf course was the only good thing in the area a few years ago. Well it's close now. That area is a real slum dump right now.

@@gonefishing9225 It is crazy how bad it has gotten there. I had family that lived in The Woodlands, and that place went to junk, too. The people who owned Hebrew National had a home in there. Pretty sure they sold it in the early 2000's. My last visit there before my Uncle died was in 2014, and I was shocked at the surrounding are. Everything was in decay. Golf courses, bowling centers, shopping plazas.
As for Inverary, I was told that place was a condo slum back in the mid 2000's. They did the same with the old Vista golf course in WPB. Emerald Dunes, I think. Links style course. Now condos everywhere.

@@Polarcupcheck You are spot on. The whole south Florida is going down so fast. Traffic, crime, etc. People come here from other countries and think they can do what they did it their country. No respect for a country's laws and ways. Some of the things they do now was unthinkable when I was growing up. Hell, I'm Cuban so I don't want to hear the racist thing. I'm sure I will get some still. Lol.
