It's been over a year since your video and there is no sand hanitizer anywhere near me. Apparently, it got depleted by the mad rush your video caused. Thanks a lot!
Thanks! Very interesting and very well explained. By the way, paper towels are very absorbent, I think that if you divide it and use one ply over a funnel, will be much better.
Thank you for posting and thanks for the comment about road salt. It is saving me money. Now if we can find a use for the glycerine, that would be even more fun.
I love it, I'm glad I discovered you. I love your sense of humor too, and I never even caught that you said sand HannahTizer till you said that you did that. twice it got me. LOL.
Burning alcohol indoors is 100% safe. Just make sure that it's not an airtight space. In other words, anything that has a flame must have oxygen to burn and consumes oxygen
You can't drink the alcohol anyway, so you might switch from sea salt to road salt, water softener salt, pool salt, etc. At that price, maybe you can start selling it...
I've tried but it dont work. I add salt to the gel but i dont separate. I try to filter it but nothing. there is another method? I dont speak english so i can translate only if written. Thanks
Good video. However, if I'm using a plumbers stove (Open top container) I don't see the residue as a problem. You don't get a as effective flame with the plumbers stove.
If you get the sanny for free-ish? Just the cost of a bag of road/pool/whatever salt. Oh, and the motor after you blow it from a wee bit of glycerine going in the mix one time...
Well what do you do if you only have sand hanitizer? Okay seriously is there something you can put in alcohol so that you can see the flame when it burns?
My 7 year old use to say "Sand Hanitizer" funny.... I still use Hand Sanitizer every day at work as we still have covid here in New Zealand and im lucky to not have caught it yet......Brett
@NeoGhk: Craigslist, Facebook, curb alert, dumpster dive... It's everywhere! These things have expiration date so they can't sell it if it's expired. Though I don't know how it can expire? Alcohol evaporates?
Love his procedure, thx a lot, but hands sanitizer for free???, pallets of hands sanitizer for free..., bro, perhaps in your planet, take a look over the shopping pages of the Earth before speak like that.
I discovered this by accident about 25 years ago when I got bored at work. I'm glad you are able to take advantage of the free fuel!
Just the video I needed. Purchased 240 gallons at auction for 1 dollar. Now I know another good use for it. Thank You

Actually brilliant, our country has put us near a dystopian state.

Does the glycerine make the hand sanitizer's alcohol less prone to evaporation? If so would a large amount for this use be beneficial for storage?

Right on. Might as well use the stuff, instead of landfilling (all the fuel burned to make) it!

You can burn the used paper towel as well. No waste at all.

Great chemistry.Good work.
excelent, happy I found your video
HOW LONG DID THE ONE WITH THE GEL IN IT BURN PLEASE???
❣❣❣
In an emergency could that be burned indoors for heat? Or carbon monoxide concerns?
Burning alcohol indoors is 100% safe. Just make sure that it's not an airtight space. In other words, anything that has a flame must have oxygen to burn and consumes oxygen
Smart man also very good idea and good video 👍🏻
You can't drink the alcohol anyway, so you might switch from sea salt to road salt, water softener salt, pool salt, etc. At that price, maybe you can start selling it...
Road salt is a great idea! This can of sea salt cost me a whopping $3.79
@@vuaeco It also just occurred to me that the glycerine snotballs might not need much more chemistry to turn into soap...
@@vuaeco where do you get this for free?
@4umy after the pandemic the groceries were giving these out or insanely cheap.
All Salt is the same thing, SODIUM CHLORIDE, just buy the cheapest Table Salt. ALL SALT IS THE SAME.

Where exactly is hand sanitizer free?
Here in America we are still paying $2-$20 a container.
What do i do if the alcohol is still cloudy after mixing and/or filtering?
Add more salt i think 😅
Let sit overnight and the white cloudiness will fall to the bottom. Just pour off the clear the next day:)
@@hollyewardThat allows time for a lot of alcohol to evaporate. It rapidly evaporates.

Whats the names of those small aluminum containers?
I think they are tea candles.
How free is it when you have yo buy salt and hand sanitizer?
Here's your answer: ua-cam.com/video/Wf6XYrm_PAw/v-deo.html
If you need free salt, there's some in the bin in front of the Overbrook Community Centre. Shhh...
Get free at Community Ctr
@@desmondjohnson183 Ha! I forgot they have sanitizer there, too.
You can get salt from the sea !

So how long & how much will it cost me for a 20 litre motorcycle tank ?

@1acroyear1: You can put some Isopropyl alcohol in the mix. The flame will be yellow but you're gonna get soot on your pot.
Just turn the sun off bro
Lol, just turn off the lights...
But what if it contains ethyl alcohol?
It's like whoever taught him English was from Kentucky
Great idea
Use salt. We would drink this in treatment bc we were stupid af but yea this works fs.
