as you said your body wakes up out of a freeze response maybe thats what happened to me after i started basic qi gong exercises like standing with very simple movemnts . but at the start it felt sooo uncomfortable with pounding heart etc. nowadays that doesnt occour anymore. do you think that could be a woken up freeze response? i always thought it was something special to qi gong and i said to me thats all the qi flow :D. btw i love your focus on the vagus nerve.

Cee Jay.. Love this response, thank you!
Yes, I see it as both.. it was chi flow and waking up from a freeze response.. and as your system got used to it, you no longer needed the heart pounding to wake up the freeze

thank you! I have noticed the burbs coming out when I do the stretch. Is that my body wakes up out of a freeze response or that stagnate energy leaving my body? I heard that yawn or swallow are the good signs but never heard of burbs🥰

how important is it to have a streight neck posture during the bend?. sometimes when i relax in the pose my head tends to move a little forwards. hope you know what i mean :D

I know exactly what you mean.. and I would assess something (range of motion, symptoms, sensation, breath) at the start, try it the flexed way, then reassess for one position. Note the results of your experiment. Then try it the straight way and see if it’s the same or different.
