Thanks for the info. I am moving my laundry into a new room which has a much more simple discharge path but I was wanting to know what the total code length to be sure I would have no issues.
Would you ever mind doing a video briefly explaining how you got certified? I have looked into it but cannot find any certified teachers that aren't 10 hrs away.
I am an electrician and homeowners are always asking if I can vent dryers and hoods and my answer is always no my insurance doesn't cover that.
I usually send to the local HVAC place is there a certificate that the HVAC should have specific to exhausting these?

Not all handyman are equal. That speculation can be frustrating for somebody who does work around the home with exceptional skill and also has much knowledge of exterior and interior remodeling. We only perform like for like replacements in specific trades, and recommend SPECIALISTS in areas that we are not qualified or trained in.

Home inspection was basically “yep it’s a house” they missed so much.
The previous (and only) owner was a cludger. We spent so much time and money just fixing crap.

i have 2 options in my house i think...
1. 90 up the wall out of the dryer unless that doesnt count, 90 above the ceiling, and out with a soffit vent. total length maybe 21' of pipe with the two 90's so 31' total??
2. 90 down the wall out of the dryer, 90 under the first floor and out the concrete basement wall. total length maybe 10' of pipe plus the two 90's so 20' total?
just trying to avoid drilling through 6" of concrete.
The clothes will take a long time to dry. 25 ft is max, unless you buy a dryer that has a more powerful blower. Check manufacturers installation instructions to find the longest run for your specific dryer.
