This was fantastic. Regardless of music style, I've always felt Simon Gallup and Peter Hook are two of the best bassists of all time. Few can tske a rhythm instrument and make it an integral part of the melody.

E' la struttura portante dei pezzi e quello che dá il carattere e definisce il genere. Purtroppo in Italia in pochi capiscono e apprezzano...i bassisti piú nominati e osannati sono sempre quelli del metal, della fusion... sempre i soliti...invece nel dark e post punk c erano dei veri propri genii al basso che hanno fatto capolavori come quelli che ho cercato di riproporre qui. Concordo con te, tutta la New Wave,la DarkWave ecc sempre etichettate con pareri negativi verso chi ha poi realmente creato dei sound icone del genere, anche se con pochi accordi e poca tecnica, sono nati dei veri e propri marchi di fabbrica, e questo anche per un gruppo come gli U2 che anche se non etichettabile a New wave ecc si distinse agli albori con suoni che comunque furono presi come spunto da molti gruppi del panorama Post Punk. Complimenti per il tributo e le magistrali interpretazioni delle linee di basso 🖤

As far as I know she didn’t play anything during the recording. She was just there to make SOM look like a band and not like Eldritch solo project. He was not only a singer, he composed basically everything for the Reptile House ep.
