The day I sewed my third stripe on, First Sergeant told me my first job as an NCO was to go to a guy's room and order him to take a shower, get a haircut, wash his clothes and return his filthy linen to laundry services. Turned out, his bedding was stained and covered in mildew. His uniforms were just as bad, I doubt he had taken a shower in weeks. The laundry refused his bedding and made him buy replacements, washing his uniforms took three cycles through the machines, and the barber shop refused to cut his hair because he had lice. I asked his Flight Chief how he got away with his dirty uniforms, seems he would show up in his rain suit, it was winter, and no one bothered to check. I think they put him out with a General Discharge a few months later. I remember seeing the First Sergeant and said, "Hey Sarge, thanks!"
My experience is that even the most obtuse, out of touch, junioriest personnel is going to step up sometime unexpected when it's all on the line and surprise you and shine for that moment....
This was me in my last unit. I had 2 troops. One was always OFO and tbe other was facing charges/dish disch for soliciting a minor (he was married w/kids). I don't miss it.
I got 6 years left. Your videos give me the strength to keep going. I know there's issues with viewership between the shorts and long format, but keep it coming. This may have started as a hobby, but it's an add-duty now. Sorry Chief. Make sure to add it in the bullets before you submit your OER for rubber-stamp.

Give Roderick the title of Primary Supply Clerk so he has good bullets for SoTM, SoTQ, BDE and DIV SoTY boards. Fasttrack Roderick to be the S-4 NCOIC then BN PBO and BDE PBO all as an E-6!
When I came down on orders to pcs, I was told my job before I leave to was to make the new spc who was a reclass to be me. I looked at him and said "no sergeant" and him and the other ncos burst out laughing saying thats the only they have ever heard me say no to something that was asked of me.
becoming an NCO is quite a transition. a bit of you stays the same, a bit of you changes. i'd like to see crafton smoke roderick but i'm not sure you can smoke that kind of rock
NCO school has changed Crafton. He looks a little more manly.
he looks a little less like an eldritch horror
Hes standing up straight
Squidward handsome face
Crafton becomes a warrant to get away from Roderick
Chief or 214. That's what Roderick does to NCOs
Lol!
One of my favourite little details is how EVERYBODY looks downward when talking about Roderick, implying that he’s like, four feet tall
He’s a short king 👑
Roderick is a.battle gnome
@@onexpunchxdadI thought the minimum height was four feet ten inches.
@@TheAKgunnerlike the rest of his recruitment process, they got a waiver for that one
@@agent7176 Isn’t there a hard limit to the number people can get?! He had to have past it a long fucking way back!
If Crafton can rise to the occasion I believe so can Roderick one day
But it is not this day...
Even buffoons can have a redemption arc😂
I was so expecting the signature crafting "Oh, poop"
I was hoping we would hear Oh Sh*t. Because he's matured 😂
I was disappointed that we didn't get the "oh poop".
He’s matured. The “oh poops” are on the inside now.
@@howardcapon8992the opoop was communicated with a flicker of eyes. Part of maturity is economy of effort

It’s very wholesome
Roddrick is on the spectrum
@@Jesse-i5p gotta rism with the 'tism
That face when Crafton realized he was getting Rodrick as his soldier was priceless. Seen it a few times.😂
HE MADE SERGEANT HELL YEAH!
0:36 the eyebrows got me... then the head nod over...
poor roderick, he's essentially crafton's crafton
Crafton learns what goes around comes around.
"Oh", Jesus I felt that in Me bones.
Dang Crafton climbed the ranks so quick 😂 also I’m glad Roderick didn’t turn out like that guy in “full metal jacket” 😬😬😬😬🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀💀
Roderick is gonna become a powerhouse.
McGillicutty nodding at Roderick-Crafton very purposefully refusing to underatand
Kombucha will wash away all sins.
Crafton tickling the 4th wall!? Good stuff!
I was waiting for the "oh poop" but I guess he's grown
I swear this is a real story 😂

This is going to be awesome to watch this develop!!

Is Crafton slowly turing into the SGM?
If Christianson can fix Crafton Crafton can fix Rodrick
Eventually Crafton will be the Bn Cdr.
Let's get him squared away

😂
So Crafton passed PLDC eh?
Hasn't been that in 10 years
He looks different 👎🏻
God gives his toughest soldiers his hardest battles. Let's see what Sergeant Crafton can do.
He'll try for a transfer to a warzone. Less chance of ptsd.
He will also give you no more than you can handle. Somewhere in there, you may wish he didn't trust you so much😂
Utilize his corporals and Specialists to E4 mafia that kid into not being a problem. However they manage it…

I think it's time for Roderick to adopt the Crafton "oh poop".
I'm too invested in this, I'm like, congrats Crafton!

“Oh…OHH!” Feels good to help soldiers get squared away even if the process is sometimes painful.
Roderick may be the key to defeating Murphy.
Hold on.. CRAFTON IS A SERGEANT? SINCE WHEN?!
Crafton is coming along quite well even starting to look like a young BC
This reminds me of that saying, "something ---- roles down hill." LoL
Rodrick is a fever dream. He is everything that crafton fears people think he is.
I mean, we both getting in shape, buddy 😂
Rod needs an older brother/ big brother role model good stuff craft you got this

“Gosh it sure good to have you back Sgt Crafton.”
Agreed. And… good bc now he can dump this Private Can’t-Get-Right on the new NCO.
“I should have gotten out with Christensen.” - Crafton maybe.
He gotten less weird (looking) but still the same crafton
Carfton is onepunch....lol!
Saw the video of Crafton as a CW2 and Christiansen as an E7 please tell me Roderick is gonna end up like Ghost from COD😂
