Love how you tell a story. Been subscribed for ages. Always watching and liking. I do not always comment. Sad story. Life for life. Be good to hear about your own experiences. Thanks for sharing. Have a great Sunday.
If he did it once in such a calculated way, he may we'll have done it more often. They should track his travels against unsolved murders and missing persons.
It sounds very much like the compensation for the daughter and mother may have helped reduce his sentence and he may have agreed to it. Things work very differently here in Thailand when police are involved in anything. As a former police officer myself I take some interest in how things are done here. Often compensation agreements are worked out between people without the matter proceeding to a court case in relatively minor matters.
I remember this case. This happened while I was in Pattaya but I never knew the follow up of what had transpired. They should have given him life , I'm really surprised the Thai judge would be so lenient.
Sometimes the sentencing in cases is dumbfounding, both here and in US. Like the recent case in Bangkok, where the off duty cop who blew through a crosswalk at 30kph over the speed limit and killed a young female doctor, and was sentenced to one year and a 4000 baht (120 dollar) fine. Decisions like these are ridiculous and such an insult to the victims and their families. It would be great to hear some of your cases of the past!
When they catch drug mules they never say who the dealers are. A news guy asked one of them why don't you tell for a lesser sentence, the answer oh that's a death sentence. So don't tell me capital punishment dosnt work.

8 years? That's almost western European levels of stupid sentencing. You would hope in cases like these that the legal system would throw the book at him. Weak sentencing like this can only breed understandable resentment towards foreigners amongst the Thais.
I wonder how was her up bringing, was there any religion in her life that could have change her career of choice. What she doing is what the devil would want any women to do.

Hello friend, seeing this video shocked me. I go to Thailand every year, and Thailand is my favourite holiday spot. Yes, sometimes the punishment doesn't suit the crime. For drug trafficking you can get life, or hung. But for murder 8 years is a joke. I am in favour of the capital punishment. If capital punishment was re-introduced. I am sure that crime would fall, only because people would think twice before doing any crime. I love Singapore. You can walk the streets any time of the day, or night and you are perfectly safe. The judicial system stinks in some parts of the world. I call it a joke.

About same time in jail for murder here in Finland too. But the jails here are like a resort compared to Thai jails.
