As much as i love ryobi and im a ryobi guy they need to calm the fck down with the prices especially there batteries theres no way im paying 240 bucks for 1 battery
So an 18 volt 12ah battery how many hours with a weed wacker would you be doing now I have a feeling some of my friends will pass out before the battery dies from heat stroke 😎 🏁
As a trim carpenter with (4) 2aH, (2) 4aH, and one 9aH; That 9aH lasts me a whole week when using in my 18 gauge nailer, swapping it between that and my impact. The (2) 4aH last me all week used throughout the rest of my arsenal (7¼ skill saw, reciprocating saw, jigsaw, palm router, Bluetooth speaker, etc) and the (4) 2ah batteries are used in my LED lights, and they last for months because I rarely need them.
Hey Clint, is it taller than the old Ryobi 9ah? I have their pressure washer and 9ah only just fits in the water resistant enclosure. Be interesting if it fits this and their vacuum cleaner (squeezing under the handle). Fanks!
These 12Ah batteries will be a welcome power boost to a lot of larger tools in Ryobi not reobi, line. The cordless, brushless 71/4 circular saw, the 18v table saw, the 18v Miter saw, the 18v chainsaw would probably take on whole new personality. The 1/2" impacts might like them.
I don't see any notable difference between 6ah and 9ah on circular saw. The table saw and miter saw, now that is a different story. I'm sure the 12ah will turn the miter and table saw into corded performance and I can't wait to get my hands on those batteries.
Amp hours is a relative measure and is a market manipulation by the maker. All other things equal, more A-Hr is more energy. The problem with A-hr comparison is only valid for the same tool. If someone is comparing a 18V tool with a 24, 48 or 72V tool, Watt-hours is the real measure. A 48V 2 A-Hr battery has more energy than a 18V 4 A-hr, but the same as a 24V 4 A-hr battery. Watts = Volts x Amps. You have to use both.
Why? I never had problems with them and i use them all the time. I use them with my mixing drills and not 1 has ever failed on me. I have two 9ah batteries and those things last me all week without having to recharge them
@@oscara.9265 Their ni-cad holdover shape forces every ryobi tool to be needlessly bulky. Just the sight of them reminds me of 💩 tools and tradesmen who were too cheap to spend the money they should have on proper tools.
I work for UPS+I have a bunch of them fans+use the 4ah batteries+never have an issue the last 2 years. Those batteries go all day in my package car w/no issues!!
Literally just bought four 9 ah batteries for the table saw and miter saw. Now I have to buy these 12 ah because they will no doubt be stronger, last longer and charge faster.
I like your channel but how tf are you gonna try to correct my pronunciation of Ryobi (nah I’m gonna keep fucking saying it like that) when you call it mill walk Eye aye
When you want to add a lift kit to your drill 😅
😅

I can't disagree with you
I caught the 12ah on sale $300 for two batteries. Just be patient!
You gotta buy them on sale
Those 12ah will be great for the 18V generator/inverter coming out.
Or the cooler
If it fits
Do an actual teardown my dude. Very curious to see how the 18650 cells and BMS compare.
Can’t wait until I can run a 2 stage snow blower with a Ryobi 18v.

Wait the 9ah battery lasts a week without charge???
OMG!! That Ryobi is a Brick!! Only for miter saws,I cant immagine that box of batteries on a impact driver or wrench!!

Man I need that 12ah ryobi! I detail cars and ear through batteries with my drill brush
Got to be careful here. If you drop it it’s heavy might break. 😢
You know if we're being real technical, it's not RYE-OH-BEE or REE-OH-BEE, it's really リョービ, and my Japanese wife will fight me on this.
Thats for more stationary devices. Young guys in the professions were complaining about the weights of the 4 and 6 in a drill.
Am i the only one that hates those ryobi battery design
nope
Probably
Bro it's been like that since I was 12 I'm 28 now
My wife prefers top heavy! Lol
Is that the charger on top ?
Do the have the exact same batteries inside?
I'll assume the Ryobi has 18650's hence it's shape. I'm not sure on the Milwaukee though...
They have 21700 cells
Plumbers love Ryobi!
That’s a big m12 battery…I’ve gotta get me one of those but Home Depot is always sold out…lol
it's an m18
You said m12 but shows m18?
You do realize that both are owned by the same company
Its made for the power wheels upgrade duh
Use the 12ah when you want the kids to leave you alone for a while, a long while!
You get what you pay for, no doubt.
Except it is prononced Reeobi.
Anyone else hear m12 and not m18?

Why? 😅 is it how bulky they can be or?
Can u elaborate please?

I will get the 8 amp one 12 is great for saws
And OPE blowers.
Literally just bought four 9 ah batteries for the table saw and miter saw. Now I have to buy these 12 ah because they will no doubt be stronger, last longer and charge faster.
what does Ryobi, not Ryobi mean
I can't wait to run these batteries in my pet stick vacuums.
That's what I want a couple of them for.
I wanna see how the new 8ah Ryobi is.
I have 2 of the 9ah and they work perfect! I use it on my drill to mix drywall mud and it lasts all day.
Torque is also higher
Since you have it that means it's coming out next month
Been a month and its still not out 😩 and not a single word on its release date.
Everybody wants a longer lasting battery, but they’re not taking into consideration the wait. Anything over a 4ah is heavy.
Oh ok, now sock them into something to have an actual comparison.
I own 2 verygood last long time beforedischarging)( 9ah this 12ah not much bigger
M18, but it's only 6v's. Who's counting 😉
18650 vs 21700 cells
They are both 21700
This is a good example why the ryobi 18v battery style sucks. They take up too much vertical room.
Ryobi uses 18650 cells. Milwaukee uses 21700 cells.
Open it and compare the battery is going to be the same grean Samsung
Milwaukee, pro vs. Pre school
Don't millwaukee own ryobi ?
Close. Milwaukee, Ryobi, Ridgid, and Hart are owned by the same company - TTI.
I will use nothing smaller than a 16ah batt ur ree
Conservatives go with Ryobi, and liberals go with Reobi … this’s how it feels like!
and a idiot coments already
The what is longer? Why in the world do u pronounce it like that dude u should REALLY just never say that name again 🤬
I don't even know whatbyou are saying right now
@@ToolReviewZone how u say Milwaukee is extremely WEIRD and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that
@@MATTRESSMONEY wait....what??????
Is there any specific reason this guy is pronouncing battery as bat-ray, Milwaukee as mil-walk-I-yay, and ryobi as rey-obey ? Wtf dude?
You mad bro??????
@@ToolReviewZone nope. Not mad. Just lmfao.
Ree obee not Rye obee

I Have the 9ah ryobi like it will get the 12 👍
