Displays by British Military Bands were not particularly welcome in Berlin in 1940 and administratively rather difficult to arrange ;-))

general Macready was in Germany from 46 to 49 as per wiki below so surprisingly close to the end of the war for this to be filmed.
In retirement he became Regional Commissioner for Lower Saxony in 1946, British Chairman of the Economic Control Office for the British and American Zones of Germany in 1947 and then Economic Advisor to the UK High Commissioner in 1949.[6][8]
Obviously this could not be 1940 unless they were pows.
