Born in 1987 NYC. Not trying to sound like my grandfather or father with the “in my generation” topic, but being a kid in the 90s was the life. And the stories I’ve heard of late teens/young adults that partied in the 90s was awesome AF, especially during the freestyle ERA(late 80s, early 90s). And EVERYONE would always be outside, especially late summer nights, everyone knew each other and looked out for each other especially children. In the early 2000s after 9/11, the early 2000s was still good in a certain way, some of the mid 2000s was good too. But towards the ending of the mid 2000s was when things really started to change, and unfortunately it continued to get worse. Not including the pandemic with COVID19 ,it still sucks, and it’s going to continue to suck. Technology really made a lot us wayyy too comfortable and selfish. If anything, the 90s in America was at its highest peak of glorifying days of enjoying life, and afterwards that’s when it began to slowly decline. I would trade my iPhone, social media, all that stuff to go back into the 90s in a heartbeat.
Diana S it was definitely a different time. Let’s put it this way, when you was born in 2002 I was 14 turning 15 and I looked forward to get married and have 3 children in the future. if I was an adult in the 90s and early 2000s I would definitely been a married man with beautiful children. That’s how great childhood life/teen life/adult life was. Today, I don’t even consider settling down the way this world is now. And I felt this way wayyyyyy before the COVID19 pandemic. That’s just me.
My teacher gave me a test paper, and one question was "what is love?". You know what I put as an answer? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more. I couldn't resist, thanks to this song

Everytime I listen to this song only one thought comes to my mind, GOD my beloved Father is telling us over and over what is love to please not hurt Him NO MORE, and He does not know what else to do nor what else to say. He is very hurt, sad and disappointed with so many of us. And for good reasons. God bless you all.
