What a lovely, lovely, brave and special young man. I wanted to reach through the screen and hug him, but a cyber hug - and my prayers for his continued strength on his journey - are all I can offer. Hug has been sent. The prayers will continue.
What a nice kid, thrown into an experience most of us will never have. He's an inspiration because he's shown he's got character and a whole life ahead of him. I wish him well.
This young man is full of joy, you can see it on his face. and he is a determined fighter. Most would resign themselves to what their doctors say. I’m glad his friends and family are by his side.
Absolute giant of a role model! When we think we got dealt a bad hand, when we see things not going our way, when we get lazy and procrastinate…………..this young man’s story should smack us right in the face to wake us up. Way to go buddy! You will help many people in this lifetime.
"live your life"....simple words that become quite profound after watching this story. 16....and wise beyond his years. I pray for a full recovery and a joyful long life for this lad.
Tim, I just watched this video. OMG1 what a terrible accident this was and the incredible you went through. I'm extremely happy that you made incredible progress in your recovery. Sending love and prayers your way for continued success moving forward in your journey. I'm from Roseville MN. A suburb of St Paul. MN. Take care.
Thank the medical people, HUMANS, that saved his life! damn, that was a misguided and SELFISH thing to say!! your imaginary friend no where to be found as usual
@@starriderkittykat9064 typo corrected. You should re-thank the actual people that saved this mans life though, and not your imaginary friend. that is beyond disrespectful.
I am going through the fight of my life right now. Lots of neck breaking down. Your story literally brought me back to life. Thank you my brother. Love light all the healing in the universe is my deepest desire for both of us.
What a crazy story this guy has! I couldn't begin to imagine but the positivity and vivasciousness that he has for life and the ability to smile through all of his issues is amazing! He is a fantastic and beautiful human that didn't deserve what he was dealt but is a true inspiration to everyone out there to NEVER give up!!... I'm nobody in his world but I'm PROUD of him!!
Blessed to have you as one of my best friends. Truly amazes me every time we’re out walking up stairs not letting anything stop you. Keep grinding Tim B love you brotha 🤞🏽
There're many young years ahead. I believe every event in our lives has a purpose, and due to Tim's will of iron, he'll come to understand the reason for his. God's speed for a full recovery!
He is a blessing for everyone around him and to everyone being in contact with him. Of course he is handsome and has an infectious smile, but he seems to be even more beautiful when it comes to his character. Accidents happen and if you survive such an event, you simply have to live your life, no matter the obstacles. So glad he survived and I wanna hug him. So, if you read this, feel hugged. 😊
This young man had lost a lot, and no one should "minimize" his loss by convincing him "well, you are still here". There is still much he might never know, and I hope he lives the best life he can live under the circumstances. He's an intelligent soul, and i hope he finds many ways to make his life meaningful.
You are young, spirited and determined! Doctors have a habit of being realistic. They are NOT going to say something will happen if they are not sure it will. They can only offer an opinion based on the experiences they have had. Hopefully you will realize that God is responsible for your success, thus far. He has a plan for you.
Technology that would have prevented that derailment had been available for decades. There have been a couple of other derailments in recent years which could also have been prevented, except for the failure of the United States to demand that overspeed protection be installed on all passenger routes.
5:24 good advice for everyone actually, even with less severe Problems. If you want to loose weight for instance or your dealing with other stuff. Never say "I'm gonna start living my life fully when I reached this goal". Life is always here and now.
Ask YHVH his spirit will show you what to do to overcome and be healed. ignore the ignorant comments ppl reply about this fact he CAN EASILY do what he does so well for others.
it's hard to convince someone to live their life. They probably don't know what you mean when you say that. It's only when they get older do they realise they've missed out. Take care.
@@user-bj2lu9qt3o yeah, he didn't step back and look at the bigger picture. It's similar to work-life balance... some people work all the time when young and forget the bigger picture till they get old.
If the spinal cord injury was incomplete, as a doctor, you should never say never, because you never know. Also take into consideration that in the future there might be a medical treatmet to regrow the injured nerves, so that he might be able to walk again like as if the accident did not happen. I wish him and everyone else with damaged nerves that medical technology will advance to that point. Hopefully, with quantum computing and with AI, such a technology will be found.
Tim, Never discount the strength of Jesus Christ for moving you forward in your recovery. I hope you will be able to walk and dance in the very near future without a walker. Walk on, Walk on through the rain.
Why are doctors allowed to give their opinions? Time and time again they tell people you'll never walk again, or you have weeks to live. Time and time again we hear these stories that prove them wrong. Even if they felt that way isnt there a moral code that would deter them? Are they so high on their own life they think they can judge others? If thay was your loved one wouldn't you say every encouraging word you coupd find?
Usually, this conversations are misreported. When assessing a situation we err on the side of caution. That means that in a cases like this, with that kind of damage, the probability of walking recovery was so low that it was safe to assume he wouldn’t walk again. Saying something is very improbable is often misheard for impossible. Giving false hopes is as bad as the opposite. I’m glad that in this particular case his nervous system was plastic enough to recover.
What a handsome young man with a beautiful smile. Wish him all the best!
He’s so cute and so brave
He’s come a long way to recover from this. I’m pulling for him. Bless you, young man!

Right. I guess no one made him aware that he was missing out though bc it looked like the right thing to do to focus hard on the physical recovery.

Doctors are in constant fear of being sued, so they usually just say what will cover their asses best
