- Here I take you through my small comic book collection featuring the triggers: page flipping, crinkles, tapping, soft speaking, whispering and mouth sounds. I am not a big fan of mouth sounds - the sound of people eating infuriates me - but it was kind of unavoidable in this. I think the video turned out alright anyway..... You have been warned though =P
I am sure I said something inaccurate involving characters so I apologize. Although I find comic books worlds and their characters exciting and interesting I do not have an encyclopedic knowledge of backstories or story arcs. I also said 'the' Oracle a lot. Whoops. I had to do a fair bit of editing due to traffic sounds and intermittent coughing as I have been a bit under the weather but, I am fairly sure I edited that all out. I really hope I edited out all the swearing when things went wrong.... I also hope the lighting is forgivable... that glare though... and the picture quality is not so great.... However, I did make a video within a month of the last one so... snaps for Cat ^__^

2.5 years later, and this is still my go-to ASMR video.
how does your body not get tired of it like I have to have a different ASMR every day if I even use one.

Just a little note on mark hamil’s history as the joker, he started as the joker back in the animated series from the 90’s alongside Kevin Conroy who voiced batman. The two would continue to voice the pair in the justice league/ justice league unlimited series aswell as the batman beyond: return of the joker movie. They then came back for the arkham games and would make their near final appearances in the killing joke movie
This is one of my all time favorite ASMR videos. Your voice, annunciation, very natural hand motions, the pacing, the faint volume of the page turning, everything about this is phenomenal.

Personally I think The Dark Knight Returns is overrated but still very well done. There are better Batman stories like The Long Halloween, Death in the Family, The Killing Joke, Dark Victory, Year One, and what I think is the best Batman story of all time Batman: Hush.

Also, thought you'd like to know that Mark Hamill did the voice of the Joker since '94 when he was cast as Joker in Batman:TAS. After his role in Arkham City, he told reporters he wouldn't come back to reprise his role unless it was for The Killing Joke as he was a big fan of it.

I love how gentle your voice is,that is how babies and small toddlers should be spoken to.but if you like comics I do recommend marvel
I must have been about your age when "the Killing Joke" came out.... amazing that people of the same generation as my kids are still talking about it as such a pivotal piece.
The "Batgirl" type of books aren't really my go to comics -. I find them too generic. But even though I was supposed to be working with this in the background... I had to keep coming back to it. But "Year One"... absolutely one of the best.
I would love to see what you would do given an hour with a deluxe edition like Ultimate Sandman or Watchmen Absolute.
As for recommendations...
If Alan Moore or Neil Gaiman wrote it... it'll be well-written.
If epic artistry is your thing, then see if you can find some of the exquisite stuff by Moebius - his best stuff is in black and white and is like sculpture in pen and ink, it is so textured. Storytelling is more abstract though.

great video. I read that Hamill said he refused to pick up the joker role again unless it was for the killing joke (prior to the confirmation of this movie) don't know how true that is either.

Nightwing is my favorite character in the Bat- family. Batwoman (Kate Kane) is an extremely close #2. I love her so much after reading her comics

God I wish I could relax, not been the same since I lost Jeb-Jeb my sugar Glider, every night I sit and think why? Where? Who? He must be scared because he’s not use to being lost in meanwhile city. Ceaser Romero played The Joker in the 60's tv series, but he refused to shave off his mustache. It was heavily covered with a lot of white makeup. That's The Joker that was pulling Harley's strings.

I'd never been into Western comics until a friend made me read Watchmen and that issue of Batgirl you showed at the beginning and I was like "damn, this is alright." Comics confuse me though, it seems like they do a lot of reboots? It's kind of hard for a newbie to jump right in. Given Harley Quinn's popularity in ASMR, I kinda want to start reading her?
+The ASMR Collector I really like the idea of Watchmen (its so deliciously dark) but I have no idea where to start with that. There is oodles of reboots and parallel universes and story lines it can all be bit much to start with. Harley (especially the n52 Harley) is really easy to get into and a lot of fun to read especially if you at least have a basic feel for the universe and the character (and you like your protagonists with a heavy dash of crazy but cute). I've been interested in comics for a while but only just started properly collecting recently so I actually felt a bit lost in regards with where to start and I still feel lost when I want to explore new things. I think as far as DC goes the new 52 reboot is a really great starting point that requires little foreknowledge and has some really excellent story lines and artwork.

+The ASMR Collector Haha, well I guess Watchmen is a lot easier to get into than I thought (whoops... but that is exciting). Well, I probably qualify as a fellow comic book noob. I love Batman and I try and keep up with the animated movies, adore the games and have googled the storylines far too much etc. but this is the entirety of my comic book collection at this current stage. I can recommend everything in this video =P However, as I mentioned everything I've read/skimmed from the n52 reboot is really easy to get into. I would recommend looking up some timelines/characters you are interested in and try and start at the beginning of those. I accidentally fell into the Flashpoint timeline way too late when I was skimming through stuff and was pretty lost. I haven't looked at them too much but I will probably get the Mass Effect and Dragon Age comics by Dark Horse at some stage so some video games you like (if that's your thing) might have little comic companions.

Ignore ALL the reboots of Watchmen. There is only one true Watchmen and that is the Moore`/Gibbons original. The rest is money-grabbing filler. Don't bother with it. Frankly, buy Watchmen second hand as DC ripped off its creators, big time.
It is a complex piece of storytelling that was only ever meant as a standalone. Nothing post-original is canon.
The other Joker voice actors "miss the mark" and make me miss the Mark!

Yay! Fellow Dickbabs supporter! You should really read the Birds of Prey comics from before the New 52 (if you haven't already). It's AMAZING. Issue #8 is my favorite :)
Birds of Prey is on my must read list (I've read little bits here and there) and I'll definitely pay attention to issue #8 =P. Dickbabs is too cute not to love and they are both amazing characters by themselves.

start from rebirth....it entirely different story with a little continuity added to the excitement,but still u can cope up with it !
Hello, I've really only just started so I am probably not the most knowledgeable source. As someone already stated Rebirth is the new effort from DC that might be fun to explore. I've enjoyed all the new 52 I've come across thus far and Vertigo comics has some pretty intriguing characters but again I can't really recommend anything I didn't show here.

Nice video. ( : I really liked Harley in the new Suicide Squad series.(I believe the based the movie character on her newest incatnation) I also highly recommend Gail Simone's Secret Six, one of my favorite titles.

I really love the idea of Suicide Squad, it just scream murderous fun. I really enjoyed the Assault on Arkham film and have tentative hopes for the Suicide Squad movie at the end of the year and if I ever get around to I am definitely getting the n52 Suicide Squad comics.
