I don't have ad block & I don't skip advertisements, because I hope that has even a minuscule effect of increasing their ad revenue. Also, it's a win when your favorites get deals with quality sponsors. Are you implying they shouldn't make money? Or that people shouldn't send them gifts, because they're not financially stressed? But seriously, I'm simply curious as to what the point of your comment is.

As a Kiwi this is the first time I've watched this UA-cam channel. I have been depressed with current America. Your embrace of this family is what America is about! From a 20 year old soldier to a lecturer in his 60s. Not religious, but God bless you, my hope is restored.
Many Americans are also depressed about the state of our country. But in reality, as you see here, what you see on the news is a tiny fraction of the people here. They’re just the loud ones.

I was driving through Albuquerque on a cross-country trip on my motorcycle one time while the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta was going on. Balloons EVERYWHERE you could see. What a sight! I highly recommend it for anyone. Shout out to all the fans who have so generously given to Our New Zealand Family!!!

The COVID situation, and the impact on the mail service in New Zealand, plus the sheer amount of mail and packages they're receiving from their fans, means that we all have to be patient as we await their reactions. The clock face is the Seal of the City of Atlanta. It shows a phoenix rising from the flames - the city was burned down in the Civil War and is related to the date 1865 shown on the right side. The other date, 1847,is the year the city was initially incorporated. 'Resurgens' goes along with the phoenix, basically meaning Rise Again. Hope that helps!

The package from Brother Francisco was amazing! It was so nice of him to share his wisdom with you in the form of short stories.
In America there are hundreds of orders of monks and nuns. Some live in cloistered communities like Brother Francisco. However, others live and work in the secular world. A good friend of mine is a semi-retired nun who used to pray with patients at hospitals around the US. Other nuns can be teachers, school administrators, etc.
I am so grateful for your family and for the outpouring of love from my fellow Americans.

That's so wonderful!! When I moved here to the SF Bay Area about 22 years ago, I told my new friends about Dewar's chews, and they just shrugged. Then, on a visit back home, I bought each of them a small bag. Blew their minds! That began a years-long parade of texts and emails, reminding me to "pick up some Dewar's for me the next time you go home to Bakersfield!" LOL!

So in the southern part of America we often eat pecan pie for the holidays. My family always does one pumpkin pie and one pecan pie. Pecan pie is a really tasty pie experience and has always been my favorite of the two. I can’t wait to see what y’all do for the holidays this year!! 💛💜💛
Miss Dewar was our teachers aid in the 70's (3rd grade) and would occasionally bring us treats from the candy shop. They make all different kinds of candy and are to die for. Glad to see they are still around.

Really hope this gets to you in time. I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the green chilies you were send are from Hatch, NM and nowhere else. They come in green and red (mature) and can be quite powerful, so taste first.
The chilies are turned into a type of salsa and served on almost everything. When served together, such as on enchiladas it is termed as "Christmas" because of the colors.

Liberty Kids!!! I love that series. I homeschool my children in the U.S. and used that series to bring the Revolutionary War to life for my kids when they were younger. Such a great series!

Atlanta, those look like 10" or 11" pie pans. Make sure you use recipes for that size. A lot of recipes are for 8" or 9" where the volume is significantly smaller.

Seeing this video made me cry, with tears of joy. As a New Mexican now living in Alabama, I miss my home state. And fun fact New Mexicos state Question is Green or Red or Christmas, Its because we love our Chile red or green. New Mexico is a very unqiue, beautiful state. The Balloon Fiesta is my favorite fiesta to go too when i get the chance. As a Child we would go Every year and all week. As a fellow New Mexican, I love all chile but my favorite way to eat it is Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas. I like red chile on my beef enchiladas but I can go either way. Definitely love Green Chile Stew and for Posole I like both but prefer it made with green chile. Also love Chile Rellenos smothered in white queso made with Hatch green chiles.

As to the question of the flag being backwards. The blue area always faces the front, because that's the part attached to the pole and we are carrying it into the charge. We are not retreating. So depending on the arm, you use a "backwards" flag.

I thought of a couple of channels y'all might enjoy reacting to or just to watch.
1. The History Guy: History Deserves to be Remembered. The host, Lance, does incredible research into historical events from all across time and location and then delivers the story in a beautiful and captivating way. I've learned a great deal from him and I think you Kiwis would love it.
2. Forgotten Weapons. Ian McCollum, aka Gun Jesus, finds the old, weird, sometimes terrible but always interesting firearms and does as deep a dive as he can into what makes a gun unique. Sometimes he looks at non-firearm weapons and even does virtual tours of museums, gun factorys and historical battlegrounds from all over the world. Ian often gets to fire some of the older guns, such as the 20mm Lahti anti-tank rifle from WW2.
3. The Chieftain, hosted by Major Nicholas Moran, who served in the US Army Armored Division. His channel is all about tanks and any armored vehicle. He's also the tank expert for the online game, World of Tanks. He also contributed his knowledge to the anime _Girls und Panzer,_ a hilarious show about Japanese schoolgirls who compete in the art of Tankery.

My first time watching the family open packages, it was fun. I live in Denver, Colorado. The end of August, Hatches Green Chili Season starts (Green chili is nothing like Texas red chili). I wish you all could smell the chilis being roasted on the streets. The smell is divine. People buy bushels to make green chili. It's a really big thing here in the West. We eat green chili sauce on breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Enjoy

Liberty Kids is a series that teaches about the American Revolution and a few years after the revolution in a fun and interesting way. I, an American grew up watching the Liberty Kids and I enjoyed watching it. As far as I know alot of my fellow Americans have watched the Liberty Kids when they were younger.

Sam, a fun fact: St. Vincent's where Brother Francisco is located is also the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp each summer. Actually, they train at the college of the same name.
When you make the green, you have to eat it with sopapillas which is fried bread that puffs up and has a hollow center. A portion to my family is native to New Mexico having been there for thousands of years. The other portion of my family came from Europe over 400 years ago. Please look up a recipe of New Mexican sopapillas on youtube and enjoy. They take minutes to make and are delicious. We eat them by filling the interior with honey or whatever you may be eating, usually green Chile stew… 😂
Hey from Atlanta! "Resurgens" means "to rise again". Atlanta's namesake city was burned to the ground in the American Civil War, but recovered and is now a cosmopolitan transportation and financial hub. The bird on the clock is the phoenix, since Atlanta rose from the ashes.

TBF the medals aren't worth talking about often because medals tend to imply that they have committed war crimes.
Either you mean Purple Hearts or Bronze Stars. 1 Medal is for being wounded in battle (Purple Heart) the other medal is for a level of bravery and valor on the battlefield (Bronze Star). Not making fun of you just pointing out that they are 2 different Medals, as a veteran I wish to thank your Nephew for his service, even though he is a darn "Wingnut" I myself am a Marine Corps Veteran.

Finally Iowa gets some love, that flag is flown right next to the U.S. flag and of course the Iowa Hawkeyes flag at our house.
I caught myself smiling proudly as they put the Iowa sticker on the map. And those military history books are great. Nice job, Jeff from Waukee (wau-KEE’). At our house, we fly both Iowa Hawkeye AND Iowa State Cyclone flags (best to tread lightly when you talk to us on Cy-Hawk game day if you don’t know who went where 😉😏😂).

Yeah I wouldn't be telling young women to come to large cities in America where criminals walk around with impunity. New York, Baltimore, LA, Chicago, Atlanta...the list goes on.

@@brucew7062 id be wary of south Texas considering the number of illegal immigrants entering the state. The statistical probability to run into one that has evil intentions i bet is pretty high. That wall needs built and border patrol needs more help and resources to keep Americans safe and illegals from entering the country. Can you confirm these issues as it sounds like you're from Texas?
