This performance is absolute PERFECTION!! Two legends throwing down!!
This is my favorite version!
I love Elton so much ! He had such a great voice back in the day, too. Im a bit sad so many people these days don't really know WHY he is so famous because the are not familiar with his incredible work 1971-76.
Of all the Amazing voices over the years .. George Michaels is my absolute favorite .. Perfection!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
George Michael's performance with Queen at Freddie Mercury's tribute concert singing "Somebody to Love" is even more impressive!
Yes! Do this!!!!
a must see!!!!!
I’ll have to look into it! Appreciate it! 😁
He was amazing at that Tribute concert for Freddie!
Agree, was an epic performance
Fabulous!!!
George Michael had the most beautiful voice, sang like an angel.
EPIC as soon as it was released
No doubt about it!! 🔥🔥
I love that performance so much! Brilliant voices of two total legends! Great reaction Steve! 🇦🇺💚
Once in a lifetime performance, simply magical! Iron sharpens iron!
I've seen this many times. I haven't enjoyed as much as this one. Great reaction!
I wonder if having Elton John come out was a surprise for the audience. ❤️✌️
If it was a surprise I bet they were floored!! ❤️
Three legends if you count "Sugarfoot". Not only was he Michael Jacksons drummer for many many years, but he has played for so many big artists and most people don't even know it.
Such a BEAST!! 🔥🔥
Great reaction. I love this video so much. George Michael had the best voice for a duet with Elton. Elton John is a powerhouse. I have seen him many times in concert. Brilliant!!!!
Ive loved this performance from first time ive seen, always gives me goosebumps and a few tears to such a great performance ❤️❤️❤️
One of my favorites 😍 🔥🔥
You should do george michaels one more try
George nailed this one. His vocal melodies are awesome here. 👍🏼👍🏼
I don't care how many times I've seen this. The epicness never fades. Have a great weekend, Steven!
@@katieroets You too!! 🔥🔥
I love George Michael. He’s a great singer, great lyricist and great human being. Always loved never forgotten. 🙏💔😢❤️
I had the pleasure of seeing them both live separately. George Michael at an outdoor venue in Irvine, CA for the Faith Tour and Sir Elton at Universal Amphitheater in the late 80’s.
That’s awesome!!! 😁
Have you seen George Michael & Queen in the Freddie Mercury tribute singing "Someone to Love" - truly epic
I haven’t but quite a few people have suggested it!
I've seen this video so many times, I still get goosebumps every single time!! I'm glad you finally got to see it with us! Everything about this is perfection. RIP George Michael. ♥
Perfectly said!
This one is perfection! So beautiful.
❤️😍❤️😍
One of my favourites
Such a great performance!! 🔥🔥
I was lucky enough to see George Michael LIVE in the late 80's and he sang THIS Song. It was SO unexpected at the time - I was BLOWN AWAY :-D
So cool!! Thanks for sharing! 😁
George always invokes chills❤️
Yes what a concert, I was at this one,at Wembley arena love George it was awesome ❤
Love Elton John and George Michael!
This is damn good love you
Such a special performance
I saw George live in I think Tacoma or Seattle back in 1992 or 93.
YES! Epic!!
The bass player is the late great Deon Estus. And I was blessed to see him live in Los Angeles, and I WILL NEVER EVER FORGET THAT SHOW!!!
@@ritchiec6317 That’s awesome! Appreciate the insight and thanks for hanging out! 🤘🏻
Meaning George Michael 😅
I saw WHAM live in the 80s. What a voice!
I absolutely adored watching both epic singers George Michael RIP & the fabulous Elton John! I wish I was there but sadly wasn'th there. Love you both!!!!!
Two great British singers at their peak. Perfect❤. As you are a drummer, have you reacted to Roger Taylor cam at Wembley? It's 4 songs from the Queen concert with the camera focused on Roger. It's fabulous and well worth a look.😅
I’ll have to look into it! Thanks for the info! 😁
There will never be another George Michael.
I agree.
This is at the top of my favorite Elton John songs and this live with George Michael is just straight up 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Epic untouchable it will never be done like this again
👍🏻👍🏻💯❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥👏👏
I love both of these men but George his voice is amazing ooooohhhh
Steven, you were familiar with this drummer. The drummer in Elton's band has been Nigel Olson since practically the beginning of Elton's career. At an Elton concert in Las Vegas, Nigel was in his 70's, and still agile behind the set. It was amazing to see.
Two legends that were born to sing together. I love it. It always gives me goosebumps. Sooooo good.
This performance was EPIC!
No doubt!! 💯🔥🔥
I needed this today!!❤🎉 I've previously watched it so many times! So glad you reacted. RIP George 😢
HI STEVE GREAT REACTION LOVE THIS SONG "BANGER"👍👍
I've seen it so many times and I'm thrilled every time. George is (was) so good, he could sing anything. Even in his “Wham” days (see live China 1985) he was simply incredible. When he went solo he got better and better. One of the most moving things I've seen of him is “Jesus to a Child” live (1994 Berlin MTV Awards), it brings tears to your eyes. And there is so much good stuff from him, he was perfect live and had great backup singers and musicians that he worked with for years. George we miss you R.I.P.
Great duet. Been an Elton john fan forever.
Me too. I've got every single album he's ever made.
Love this check George Micheal and Aretha Franklin song I knew you waiting for love
Please check put George Michael's "Kissing a Fool", his vocal performance is lovely.
The way George introduces Elton, how it fits in the pause of the lyrics and the emotion of the song and the focus of the crowd, in the history of introductions, this was absolute perfection. This was the top 1 % of all introductions. It actually changes how you hear this song forever. The introduction was an historic event in itself.
George’s duet with Aretha and Freddie Mercury tribute are also stunning
This is a brilliant and special performance.
Can't believe you never heard this but then we're an ocean apart ... hello from Ireland
He did some comedy
Hey there from across the world! 😁 Thanks for watching and have a great day! 😁
Great thank you for your lovely commentary 👏👏
If there was a list of best ever singers, George Michael would be high on that list. No lip syncing no autotune just an epic live performance. Checkout George Michael with Queen which is also brilliant.
Isn't this amazing, guaranteed to put me in a good mood, absolute legends both of them
There is a version of this song from Roger Daltry from the soundtrack of the move Lost Boys
Elton John was always surrounded by the best musicians percussionists in particular.
This is the type of performance you wish was longer, it's that good.
Since you mentioned the drummer, in my opinion, he is the standout in this video. So phenomenal! In fact the band, the background singers and Elton and George. This is just a great, great song and performed to perfection.
Amen! Always go live when possible. Would this sound better in studio version? Sure.....but look whatvwe would have missed!!! The passion of the people loving their artists!!!
Love this duet. I have been an Elton fan from the beginning. His music means so much to me. George with Queen at Freddies tribute is truly mind blowing
Yep. Don’t care how many times I’ve seen it it’s SPECIAL
I saw George Michael on his "Faith" tour. So good!
All right my brother Stephen.... I am not too sure how many times I have heard this on the radio in the past, but this is the first time I've actually seen the performance. Talk about a grand slam of entertainment....whoo‼️💯🔥😊👍🏼
Awesome reaction. I normally don't like live. But, this video rocked. ❤
1st time Elton came out of Rehab!! Great video!!
Let's Gooo! This song hits me hard...this is the song that I listened to over and over when I lost my Gram.😢 Lord is it mine from Supertramp too. Thanks Steven and Peace out 🙏 ☮️ ✌️
Sir Elton John yes
Quite possibly my favorite Elton John song. Between this one and Your Song. The songwriting team of John & Taupin is hard to beat. So many bangers.
Absolutely!! 💯
This one and Someone Saved my Life Tonight.
George does this one justice too 💕
Ah, we loved George so much...then, now and always!
Check Out Elton John -& Billy Joel live In Tokyo 😂
I believe this was the first performance for Elton after getting out of rehab.
Love the original version and didn’t think it could get any better and then this come out LOVE it his voice is perfect for this song and When Elton joins in , can’t get enough.
Makes me cry to remember George. Miss him so much. Christmas will never be the same.
For me it's extremely rare that I love a cover of any song as much as I love the original, but when George covered this one I was and still am stunned at how much justice he did it. And these two together were absolutely epic. RIP George, we will always miss you.
Yes finally so excited
🇬🇧
Awesome reaction to an awesome song 👌🎼. Jeeez, it always makes me cry😢.
Here we go again SteVen: "I Got The Music In Me" by Kiki Dee, 'live'
Yes please to Kiki Dee!
👌👍😎
Please, MORE of these timeless and Magical musical Classics from the Genius duo of SIR EJ and Bernie Taupin... you've only got the past 57 years...AND COUNTING... of their vast and varied song catalog still left to React to! Your Song is basically ONLY the beginning point, so you haven't even scratched the itch....YET!!! lol In Joy and Enjoy!!! And thanks!
I remember watching this for the first time and thinking OMG George's vocals are amazing. Then Elton came out and I was quickly reminded of who the star was. His vocals were beyond belief.
Steven you are such a lovely guy
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻
This was Elton's first performance after getting sober. He was ok with letting George do the heavy lifting because he did not know how he would do.. Obviously he had no problem and George was happy to be joined by his friend. This is Elton's song and this duet went to no. 1! Every single time Elton sang this song in concert, there was a picture of George on the big screens. RIP George Michael.
The story behind this fantastic performance is that Elton had recently gotten sober and was terrified of performing sober. George invited him to sing with him on stage to kind of “break the ice.” The rest is history. At least that’s the story I heard.
Give funeral for a friend/love lies bleeding a listen. You won't be sorry
I realise that you have already reacted to Freedom but you might want to check out the live versions. One was 1993 Hope concert at Wembley. The other I found on Martys Hangout channel with the band in a circle. So many other songs for you as well.
Love this. I've seen George live. Not long before he died, unfortunately. He wasn't at his strongest mentally/physically but it was stil a world class show. Btw, George and Elton released a single together called Wrap Her Up (it was when they both still had to pretend to be straight, lol). It's good fun. Check it out.
The crowd response when sir Elton comes out is why live music is so great! You are absolutely right about live shows. My wife and i try to get to four or five a year. Thanks for keeping this great music alive!
I was at this concert, it was George’s Cover to Cover tour, the bass player was Deon Estus who was with George since the Wham days, sadly no longer with us.
You NEED to hear George’s’ song “Different Corner.” It will
literally make you weep..he was so stellar!!
Just an aside... did you notice that George introduced Elton as "Mr." Elton John? This was far enough back that Elton had yet to be knighted. Just made me smile, is all...
Jonathan Moffett also played drums for Madonna on several tours and albums, including her Live Aid performance.
Deon Eustus played bass .He also played in Wham and for Tina Turner Annie Lennox He died aged 65 in 2016
Quality.
Three MORE phenomenal live concert performances. John Farnham's You're the Voice with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Procol Harum's White Shade of Pale - live in Denmark, and George's cover of Somebody to Love from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. All three are out of this world fantastic. Incredible concert experience - that I would LOVE to see you react to.
It's an Elton John song so fitting to have him join
Love this collaboration of a classic Elton John song! At 61 years old, I often forget there are plenty of people who haven't heard the songs I tend to take for granted as famous. Thanks for reacting.
Bass player is George's personal bass player, Deon Estus. He was with him from back in the days of WHAM! Deon was awesome. He passed away in 2021.
Deon Estus on bass, check out his Spell album
