Looks great. There is a lot of satisfaction knowing that this great looking wall started as a tree from your own property. Lots of work with lots of reward.
I ❤️It!!! Some of the knots look like sun bursts! The smile on your face says it all.. what a lightning show!! Glad no fires started! I so look forward to your videos!!
Looks gorgeous!!! I have a couple more big logs with the blue staining yet to mill - I almost think yours has more blue in it than mine, but still - can’t wait to mill it up for my cabin!!
Down here in the southern states we have a pine bettle that kills thousands of tress every year and at one time they were left in the forrest to rot . A sawyer cut some into boards a furniture maker saw it built some pieces called it DENIM PINE now it is some of the most expensive pine on the market. Y'all do pretty work
The stairwell is looking fabulous, it was a lot of work but a certain satisfaction comes from that. It is a beautiful accent wall to the house, well done.
That wood looks great in the stair well. Really beautiful y'all. The natural colors in the wood are really eye-catching. And what a wonderful use for the old tree. The storm footage is very kool to watch, thanks for including it.
Absolutely stunning. Your giving your trees a new life to shine in your home what a true blessing. You will have all the memories on film building your home to look back on in the future that will be priceless. I'm glad I found your channel. Your goat is hilarious 😂
Greg and Katie, its just beautiful! I see the love in Gregs eyes for his Katie and it spurs him on to have a castle when done. And guess what, any king would be proud to do this very thing for the queen. Those goats are really just rebellious children with how their raised. Gunnies are the best watchdogs in the world as a mouse could run through the yard and they set off clucking in their own sounds they make... can't wait for next installment hardly!!
The wood looks amazing!! I love the grain and coloring in it, ya'll did your home proud. The goats are a hoot to watch, especially when they find trouble to get into. Love ya'll ❤️
It is almost imperative to have your own saw mill when you have access to so much lumber. I am so happy for you to have this benefit. Thanks for sharing. Have a Blessed day.
What a inspiration you both are to other young couples to do the work that you have accomplished so far,you both can and should be proud and happy what you have done.Looking forward to the next episode. Blessings to you both from N.B.
You did very nicely with your ship-lap wall areas. Looks great! The 4" and 6" variations add to the ambience. Nicely thought out and designed. Congratulations. However, from the fire-spread prevention aspect, those areas should have firstly been clad with the normal chalk-based wall cladding to help prevent fire spreading from one room to another after burning through that wooden cladding, then put your ship-lap over that. I do not know what your building regulations and fire insurance requires, but in New Zealand, it is compulsory to have the chalk cladding first on all internal walls. Wet areas have a water-resistant variation of that cladding, in case of leakages.
In case i didn't mention the 1st time i watched this video, the footage of the lightning was awesome!! I love all your videos and footage(thank you) but the lightning was f'ing awesome!
Love the beetle kill wood, it is so beautiful. So nice to have two of you working together. It helps so much with measuring and cutting and mounting. Your animals are wonderful. So nice to be able to hike with your goats, cat and dog.
I love watching thunderstorms, love watching lightening. We went to Bulgaria on holiday, there was a storm out at sea, it was epic, and evenings entertainment.
Looks great. Hard work pays off. Personal projects are always worth it. Tired and frustration always turn out great when done. Stay motivated. Enjoy the updates.
OMG you guys!!! You should be so proud of yourselves, milling that tree then putting a tongue and groove on it! It looks absolutely beautiful!!! Awesome job!!!
It is hard work but can be very therapeutic as you know each board has been handled by you through the full process. Only you know the amount of sweat and time it took to build your house and then turn it into a home.
Totally agree with you about life insurance, but I got more peace of mind through my early years by also having reasonable disability coverage. Peace of mind for me and for my wife and family. Really impressed by your building skills and pioneering spirit! Thank you for sharing your lives on the tube.

The Beatles ravaged this poor tree. I was worried I left it for too long on the ground due to cracks in the wood. Your cabin is looking awesome!

That wood is so beautifull...and knowing where it came from is the best.....
I laughed at your goat rolling in the sawdust. My dog loves to roll in fresh mulch and wood chips from tree cuttings. It’s the smell they like.
Looks awesome love raw white pine and raw cedar for indoor decor.. the entrance and living rooms speak volumes ❤❤
Looks great guys.......AWESOME work
So happy to see you wearing your PPE. You will never know what you lost because of not wearing it.
You should consider a Dado blade on the table saw for making the lap. It’s much faster than a router.
Definitely !
Only worth it if they plan on more than one medium wall. Also it is done now.
@@private15 future !
Lovely! It must smell wonderful. Great job as always. Just adore those sassy goats.

That very small/fine wood waste strips will be excellent kindling!
Greg and Katy the wood you manufactured from your own trees is absolutely beautiful !
so nice to see a beautiful lady in the morning, loving the house, the land and all the pets.
You can make 2 passes on your table saw, one horizontal and one vertical to make the shiplap.
What a inspiration you both are to other young couples to do the work that you have accomplished so far,you both can and should be proud and happy what you have done.Looking forward to the next episode. Blessings to you both from N.B.
