@PSVR Underground - As a No Man's Sky Veteran I must say this is one of THE BEST concise and to the point introductions to No Man's Sky I have ever seen. I love how you explain with minimal details the most needed basic concepts and ideas in the game without spoiling the surprises for new players. I would recommend that you also make a slight amendment - You should mention the Expeditions feature which are limited time Community Adventures which can unlock unique in game rewards that can be unlocked on any game save you have. Sometimes these are quite good and unavailable to unlock in any other way other than on PC with save-file editing, but otherwise excellent job.
Been waiting for your video before I try out NMS on psvr2. I know you've been (just like my mom) grinding hard to get this one out, so thanks for putting in that work bro.
This is great stuff AJ! I got about 35hrs into NMS and then stepped away for about a year. Now with the graphics patch I have gone back and I couldn't even remember how to get takeoff fuel for my ship😆. I dare say I will be watching this video a number of times in the future to help me get back on the horse, so to speak.
Awesome work pal! I just begun my 1st game and and I'm amazed by it, and your guide is like a real treasure for begginers who want to enjoy this gorgeous adventure
You can also get a free derelict freighter scanner from Helios at the Anomaly once a week. And when you're lucky, while travelling using the pulse engine, and there's a notification about an anomaly on the way.
Awesome job AJ!! I am going to use this today and jump in and try to make some good headway in the game. I am glad you finally got this done. I know it took putting in some long hours but it definitely paid off
Man, what an incredible transformation this game has made over the last decade... from starting out as one of the biggest disappointments of the year upon release to becoming one of the best, most fun and rewarding games you can own. I sank hundreds of hours into this game on PC, and my dad recently bought it on PS5 specifically for its VR capability, which I keep hearing is just plain amazing. There was a VR mod for the PC version you can get back in the DK2/CV1 days, and probably also on VorpX, but I kept hearing about it being buggy and unreliable since it was just a fanmod. But this is a proper VR upgrade made by Hello Games themselves. So I'm looking forward to trying it out at my parents' place after work! I'm excited to try it out and see what I've been missing! I remember playing and greatly enjoying Elite: Dangerous on VR back when Oculus DK2 was still new lol. And the experience only improved from there with the continuing headset advancements. As far as space exploration/spaceflight sim games go, that was about as authentic feeling as it got. And when I learned how to unlock the Alien Isolation VR feature (this was before the Mother VR mod) To unlock VR Mode in Isolation, which was a feature meant mainly for trade show VR demonstrations that was, thankfully, never removed from the consumer release, you had to open a specific game file in Notepad and change a word in one of the lines to "Rift", and then use Run in Windows to enter a command that basically switched Windows from running on your screen to running on the headset. I can't remember what that mode was called. Then open the game from there. It was a bit of an arcane procedure and felt more like a hack than a feature, but well-worth it! Anyway, those two experiences showed me what really showed me how immersive VR could really be. So I can't wait to try this out!
Since you can buy another freighter later (and transfer your base and storage over) I would just start with one that you think looks cool, and there are a few good ones to choose from.
VR specific tip : You are going to be mining a lot. You can do it by using your multi tool, but you can also use the grip button and hit stuff instead. This saves a bit of ressources, but more importantly, you can use the beam with the right hand while punching with your left, allowing you to mine about twice as fast.
I’ve had this game for a few years but never played much because I was put off by how blurry it was on PSVR1 and again when it first came over to the PSVR2. After the new Echoes update I’m absolutely blown away by how good it looks! Totally love this game now and loving just getting lost in the NMS universe for hours upon hours. This game is definitely a system seller now and have to give massive kudos to Hello Games! Great video to! ☺️👍🏼
The game is complicated but im not giving up, i've waited far too long for it to look this good in VR and im determined to keep going, its one of the best VR experiences ive had so far. Thanks for the info brother definitely a big help 👍
It’s amazing man, it’s hard not to get distracted but it’s ok to just go at your own pace too. I’m over 600 hours in and I still learn something new every time.
@@PSVRUNDERGROUND I'm sticking to the story but sometimes when it batters my head I'll just fly off into space and blow up some asteroids for an hour, I'm definitely getting lost in this at the moment it's so immersive.
Great guide AJ, nicely planned and produced! I’m 45 hours in and the Artemis storyline seems to have glitched during the quest to do 2 missions for the Gek cartographer… I’ve completed 2/2 missions twice, but each time after I hand them in it resets to 0/2 completed, and then I only have harder ones to choose from! Ever have anything like this happen? I’m a little bummed that I might never see the new storyline if it’s locked behind Artemis.
@@PSVRUNDERGROUNDThanks, luckily there are other quests and plenty else to do. I’m mostly base building atm, built my first underwater base with a submarine and moon pool. I never have gotten into base building in flat games, but it’s much cooler when you feel like you’re inside the base.
I had this happen. Kinda. It said do 2 quests. I did but only 1 registered with the Gek Cartographer. I just picked the next one on top and that one did register as my 2ne quest. Maybe you're not meant to do the ones for the other guilds (such as explorer's)
Yeah, it can start out with a lot of "figure this out before you figure this out before you figure this out" but it gets easier as you get more reps. Hope the guide was helpful, thank you!
My speed trusters (left side ) have inverted, i dont know what i did, dont remember to change anyting, now i press foward and it dont speed up, i need to rotate only de lower part of my wirst foward but its hard 😢. Anyone have any tip?
Having trouble booting the game on psvr2. I just bought the game, put my headset on and clicked on it to play it like any other psvr2 game but this one just boots to a black screen? Am i doing something wrong?
I would make sure you’re running the PS5 version and not the PS4 version, though that would still show the cinema screen I believe. May just need to reinstall it.
I started on flat years ago and never went past the second planet, not I’m jumping in on VR2 it looks amazing but got to the same spot and feel the same way. Maybe I need to grind a bit more and hopefully that changes.
NMS is now VR certified hood classic! Well done Hello Games.🍻
Well done indeed, it's amazing.
@@PSVRUNDERGROUND The game has me questioning Simulation theory so for that it truly is amazing. PSVR2 future is bright and I'm all for it.👌

No mans sky is such a good VR game!
@70fu
Tried thr vr2 yesterday and walking in vr is kinda wierd.

You mean I can get an award for an expedition and use it on my file with the most playtime?

FINE!! You win with your detailed "beginner's guide" and enthusiasm!! I will play this game now. (Curse you and your VR expertise ways...)
cracking video, i'm glad the game eventually came good for you.

Blasting off now captain!🚀🚀🎸

Considering buying PSVR2 for this. quest 3 ?
The graphics are alright, but still at 30 FPS... 😑. . but I guess it's the price for " better graphics "
@@moshehome5221don't do it, get a quest 3 instead, thanks me later

It looks stunning on PSVR2!
Waddup Jioxx! Thanks dude, for the record it also looks good with PS5/PSVR1, but yeah, it’s next level on PSVR2.

Hi! I just tried it for the first time. One question: Isn't there head tracking in the game? I can't find any option for that.

Well done AJ!
