How does this compare to NEP's BDM-800? Both seem to be pretty solid units and I love how you can run exactly 5 units per 240v AC branch. It looks like the 25-year warranty doesn't have any exclusions, which is good. I think this model would pair perfectly with those 440w bifacial Aptos panels I have had my eye on!
www.aptossolar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/MAC800R_DataSheet.pdf will show that they are UL Listed. If you google shopping search Aptos micro inverter you will find a few wholesale sites with discounts for multiple purchased. Not sure what a distributor or on the flip side, an installation company would charge. The benefit to me on these is they are more powerful than a couple of enphase and have the same 25-year warranty. The cheaper brands only offer a 10-12 year and can assume they will break. This or the NEP would be the best quality and value I think.
This is why we ONLY install Qcells. On a sunny day, as long as it isn’t over 100 degrees F*, a QCELL will pretty much put out it’s rated wattage. I hate to sound biased, but every other brand we have installed that is not the case.
I'm sorry but I don't think she has much of a clue what she's talking about. BTW 2 aptos 440 watt panels is 880 watts and ur still short 80 watts. The enphase 8a micro only has .08 clipping with 480 watt microinverters.
On what planet does any panel actually output the full STC rated wattage under real operating conditions? Perhaps on a rare occasions when there is "cloud lensing". Being able to capture 90% of STC rating is quite good and leaves very little or no solar power uncaptured.
@Bowhunters you don't know what you're talking about. Even if you oriented the labeling at the perfect pitch and angle, and faced them south you'll hit max panel out put probably for a few hours in the entire year. Hear is a HUGEE factor. So please go read a book on solar.
@Bowhunters steven is correct. I own a company that just passed 50,000 installs and currently we have aptos 440w bi facials as our standard panel along with Q cell, LG & Mission depending on roof sizing and needs. We run IQ8 enphase on all systems but now also offering sol ark 15k. We have maybe 1000 known instances where panels actually exceeded STC and less than half of them held it for an hour or more. Thats systems installed in AZ, CO, FL, NC, NM, NV, SC, TX & UT. 90% is an excellent expectation. Your friend is either a) a unicorn b) a liar or c) you made that shit up. Since you seem to be an ahole im voting C
The enphase IQ8A has max output of 349w continous power which would put it per 2 at 102w less than the Aptos so no idea what your going on about with 480watt.
She is amazing explaining her products. Impeccable communication skills.

Sort of related but it would also be nice if panels stopped getting bigger and bigger and harder to fit on roofs.
Aint that the truth.
💯 they are getting very bulky, less hail resistant. I really don’t like doing any panels over 400w…. Just too large and heavy!
You miss the point! This means fewer panels and lower system installation cost.
@@jackkennedy1456 not necessarily.
I didn’t mind the interview but I would’ve liked the question asked if they could monitor both panels or just two of them with a single MPPT.
Fantastic Solar #news, thanks 🤗.
Bought 4 should be here today!
Nice Inverter.
Would have been nice if youstated what a micro-inverter is before your presentation.
What country is this manufactured?
funciona con 120v?
Ωραίος μηχανισμός. How their cooling system works, because here we have crazy summer temperature's.🇬🇷👍🇺🇸
Is this only grid tie?
Joe, you look very nice in a tie.
Are they UL Listed? And how much are they?

Why is it i can only find the dna 120 in max 370 watt but you keep calling it 440 watt are you mistaking the dna 120 for the dna 144 ?
It's the new DNA 120 440W. You will find the datasheet available soon as the product rolls out into distribution.
Oh ok thank you since the video was 3 months old i figured they were out already
Has anybody installed these yet can give me real-world feedback . Is there an app for it free
So if you have 440 watt panels and the inverter which uses 2 panels 440x2=880 so you are clipping 80 watts 🤔
Rarely do you actually get the rated output of a panel in the field.
Agreed. a 440w panel realistically would put out 80 to 90 percent. 350 to 390 watts, which puts it around 800ish watts.
This is why we ONLY install Qcells. On a sunny day, as long as it isn’t over 100 degrees F*, a QCELL will pretty much put out it’s rated wattage. I hate to sound biased, but every other brand we have installed that is not the case.
Fam ... the "supply chain" myth is just a reason for companies to charge more.
IQ8 far ahead...
Pronounce it “App Toss”
Oh my she a cutie

Weak interview Joe.
