😂when I watched Pappa Penny's show religiously my wife said I watched it just for laughs. That man is a serious man, his community appreciates him I'm sure. Brilliant South African. Feeds his community out of his pocket. Papa Penny, true definition of how a politician should conduct themselves 🤞🏾
Yoh Bra David🎉. Freshly fell in love with the language, beautiful language.. Thank you Ms Tsamandebele. Always argued around my circle to discard this northern Sotho label then dig deeper into diverse languages independent or separate from SePedi. We are deeply more diverse than colonial assignments of our languages and cultures apart from civilizations. We had great civilizations and it survives in her, the fire needs to be stoked. Candy Tsamandebele 🎉, flowers from me directly to your greatness.
You have the right to nominate people who should come to the podcast. However, you need to say something about the current guest. I think it is not a good idea to nominate someone else without giving a small comment about the guest sitting on the chair. You can nominate any person you want but you must acknowledge the guest being interviewed before you make nominations.
As Muvenda, who is trying to learn Sepedi, I can confidently say Khelobedu is just a combination of Tshivenda & Sepedi. Funny enough their communities are based between Venda and Pedi communities.
Was listening to The Best Of Shaka Bundu Girls recently and bumped in this.Thank you King David for this interview....Please bring Nurse Matlala,i don't think Tsonga musicians get enough recognition
Ous Candy is very talented ❤❤❤first time I heard her talking on this interview and felt like I've heard someone who talks like her but I can't find that person... She's a star maaan and unique may the Lord bless her abundantly ❤
King David what a coincidence, since I've been playing her music from the beginning of March when I launched the indigenous Games Kwamandebele its been an opening soundtrack for the games I so wish the dept of sports could invite her at the indigenous games national finals in Durban in September ❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Mr. Mashabela, Remember Brenda Fassie once said “Haibo DJ Fresh stop playing our music for free” - on her Matshidiso hit song- Candy’s complaint is valid. Nice show as always
On "Your own music issue"...Without DJs then what will music be, without artists what will DJs will be..DJs play an important role in the ecosystem...DJs don't just play music, they have to do PR,have a team that plays a role in making a DJ known..
It won't work the are so many gigs you can't multiple your self south africa is huge and the song I am playing as dj I bought it the cd belongs to me you already have your share
Candy mkhaya i differ with you on the issue of DJ's playing Artists music because your music wouldn't be famous if it wasn't because of the DJ's. So the issue must be how DJ's get your music or download.
But on the DJ issue she is wrong they are talented DJ who take the vocals fron other song and beat from other song and make it one thing and ut sound good so you can't force DJ to make music what if they are not good at doing music they are only good at DJing ? Like david said promoters should pay sampro the songs that their dj are gona play not to force DJies in doing music and Dj play a big role in making a song to be known
I have no idea how is it that I can understand what sis Candy is sharing … have no idea what language she is speaking … these Xhosa ears aren’t that useless I see 😅
