For someone who never set a foot in a classroom he's very intelligent not to mention well accomplished and world travelled. There are people who are fluent in English but haven't archieved half of the things he did. I was once in a hair salon with him and shocked to see the length of his hair, jeez it's so long🙆🏽♀️ I wish he spoke more about his charity work, the man has a heart for the poor and he's doing great things! What a legend aheee papa Penny ahee👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Dude, I was thinking precisely the same thing & if we are honest about value ( future value ) & publishing rights are with King David. This is the modern library
Guys, can we applaud King David's patience! Literally can talk to people from all walks of life and still be his genuine self! Ay!!!! 🔥🔥. Ahee Papa Penny Aheee!!! ❤❤❤

Thank you Bra David for bringing our Tsonga legend Papa Penny , you made my friday ... Ahe Papa Penny Aheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee OohOneFive Dial a Shangaan Aheeee
I thought it was gonna be one of those self-praise and self-promoting shows, instead what a warm, honest, and educating conversation, thank you King David and Papa Penny
For those who don't know who Penny Penny is just if you can ask Mdu Masilela and Arthur Mafokate at their prime what nightmare Penny Penny was during festivals in Limpopo. Joburg artists never wanted to perform just before him him he would arrive in his tour bus fitted in this massive sound system. He would perform from the gate coming in the stadium. The crowd would follow him at the gate leaving an artist performing alone know the stage. 😂😂😂 Penny Penny was a king in his 1st album especially.
South Africans! This interview is wonderful and great. I understand very well this Communication English tjooooo. Imagine, how hard it is to think of prepositions, trying to couch sentences, being careful of the tenses you are applying. Mna ngoku, I will speak Communication English, with no stress. I love you Papa Penny and your brand and logo for your music.
Papa Penny says he's speaking "communication English" with main objective of been understood by the person he's talking to and you have to give the man his flowers for been able to hold a good and easily understandable conversation for more than 3 hours in English while he's never set a foot at formal school. The man is also a proof that with confidence one can go far not forgetting been unique
Your interview style is so refreshing, that you don't seek to overshadow your guests. All we hear from you is affirming sounds and pure appreciation for your guests. South Africa appreciates what you do, this is GOLD
"The beetroot story" Eish Papa Penny is so funny🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and a great story teller. There's no bad English here I could follow the whole story. Bra David as usual great interviewing skills. Enjoyed the episode

David Mashabela's intelligency is something else, to carry on engaging to Papa Penny's english is amazing. not a lot of people be this patient. Great interview, Papa is true definition of a Hustler and I applaud him for that.
Hai Papa Penny should consider a documentary about his life story. So fascinating and his memory is so sharp he remembers every street name and everyone he met along his journey. And he is funny too 😂😂😂

Bra David, every new episode you release becomes my favourite, you're doing an extremely good job. Sho Bra ya kasie, originally from Bufferzone, working in Australia now. Home content ke bosso🤟🏾
Goodness limpopo does have rich history if it is shared. We only or mostly told about gauten, kzn n cape town .SAns needs to share their history by telling more stories ,thanks, bra David for bringing out the legend
Yah Limpopo and North West especially Maftown) have rich history but it is not documented because it's not History of the majority, SA doesn't care about minority...
@Michael10794 I think people from those provinces like artists to be specific, they must share the history of their respective areas, show pride in their culture, organize events, bcos waiting 4 government will cripple them. Musicians and actors should try to build studios n avoid coming to jhb, durban tried that as well n it's working, I strongly believe artists arr the ones who can change things for good
@@siyabongabiyela3497 Yea that's a great idea, No one will take you serious if you don't take yourself serious .... However I am sure Durban received help from the Government
Those who are from Mozambique speak what they call Shangaan (XiRonga), but in South Africa, it's Xitsonga (Tsonga). Though, those who are based in Limpopo and Mpumalanga have different dialects. Others in Bushbuckridge even speak what they call Xihlangano.
@@deliasmediayou are confused just like papa penny so don't confuse those who don't know! I'm a shangan from Mozambique/xaimite ka ngungunyane, xironga, xichangani, xitswa, xikhambani ,xihlengwe, xindindindi those are shangans of Mozambique.not this madness of xitsonga I don't even know where it is taken from. I Lough when I hear someone from Mozambique call himself mutsonga that is madness.
Thank you David im insipired Papa Penny the legend very confident in himself and not ashamed of himself ...a lot of us the young can learn a lot from him
This is true story, i knew papa Penny in 1993 at Downtown studios and Shandel music , yes he was sessionist . Even when he use to go aroound with the late Peta Teanet i know that.
Problem us black we measure level of Intelligence by well spoken English. If we have being taught everything in school with our mother tongue, we would've been very far because of our understanding to content and details. Even during interviews we fail because we think of better words to use so to impress interviewers, Jeeeerrrr we still have a long way to Go!
Why should i be judged if i can't speak proper english, when a white person dont even know how to speak my language. The people who are criticizing me its my black People. Just because i can't speak english that doesn't mean im I literacy. if we as black people we laugh each other because of this english then i dont know.
100% they just giving praise to a white men nje we just lost ourselves colonialism has done a lot of damage to our lives the way we think 💭 the way we do things
This one has been a deep and informative episode.. Thank you for sharing.. The education this is giving for us Africans, knowing who we are and what's expected of us as spiritual beings.. ❤️❤️❤️

yhoooo papa Penny s points are on the other level (the truth) about our own ppl (blacks)
