Actually If you are growing jade as falling down branches or any plants with huge leaves like philodendron, calathea etc ,we can grow it cheap pots because the plants cover the pot in no time. I have personally noted it with my above named plants.
You need better draining soil. And I would of put it in a terracotta pot and one that’s on a smaller side as a plant with little to no roots and a glazed pot it’ll harm the plant rather than help it
