I can't believe you bought that jade plant from a nursery for $13.00. It looks like at least 6 to 10 years of growth. I subbed, got to get you some points toward getting monetized!
Took off way too much growth imo, I have about 40 Jades of many different varieties that I have been growing as bonsai since the late 70s, shaping existing branches, wiring trunks and simply pinching back growing tips, makes a better tree faster :)
Thanks for the info! I just acquired a very old and neglected jade plant. Thanks for showing me how to prune and replant it! Hoping I can save it! :)
Thanks for watching!! I believe in you!!
Nice job, helpful to know the plant will not die after a strong pruning! Thank you!
Yes of course these are some hardy plants!
Well done! Hard pruning is my favorid part of jade cultivation 😉

They look really good. I live in Australia & have seen them grown as a low hedge here. Very attractive when in bloom.

Wow! Did you do anything with what you cut off?
What is the name of the tool you used for removing the old soil from the root bound soil?
It’s just called a root hook or a bonsai root hook you can find them on like Amazon for pretty cheap
