If someone breaks in your garage and steals all your power tools. You can't go find them and gun them down.
If a thief breaks in at night and is ACTIVELY putting your family at risk. That's a different story.
If someone is stabbing you in the leg you aren't just going to turn the other check. You're going to fight back. This is human instinct.
It's like if you fall in water. You're automatically going to get your head above the water in order to preserve your life.
I don't think this is something that needs to be taught.
On the other hand if you find out a coworker is spreading rumors about you. You should turn the other check. You shouldn't go tinker with their lunch they have in the fridge or try to fight them in the parking lot.

Churches across the US have been doing this for a long time and there has never been an issue. Calm down, it's not that serious. I buy tickets for these raffles every chance I get.

You also have to realize that whoever wins this probably already has an AR anyway. Not like they're giving somebody firepower that they don't already have OR can't easily obtain.
The last Church gun raffle I was apart of even came with a safe for the gun. Wouldn't doubt if this church did the same

@@ytgytgyhe just stating facts,but if we are talking facts the AR based rifles actually went with the civilian market and law enforcement first till colt who is famous for making firearms for civilian ,law enforcement, and military asked for the plans and made what the world now knows as the M16 and later many rifles sharing similar qualities and likeness. So in fact the AR-15 is in fact NOT built for military but for local civilians and law enforcement.

Stay out of politics like Jesus told you to do… this is a horrible decision by an ignorant congregation, and they should be charged taxes for getting involved in political issues because that’s exactly what this is in the current climate.
