so... this is eerily similar to a song that is very non-guitar that I've been playing on guitar for a very long time. It's the track Kaneda from the Akira OST. Specifically during the "Rasera! Rasera! Rase-Rase-Raseda!" bits. I don't know the intervals, but it's written for percussion and gamelan and I love it.
What plugin/pedal/software is doing the background "ambient swell" for each note/chord hit? (Been wondering about this for a long time since Rick uses it on most of his shorts).
@@RickBeato sounds great Rick. I've been saving these lessons and chartting them. Loved the Cmajor 7th arpeggios from the other day. Keep these coming mate. They are great inspiration when your in a creative rut. 😊
While I agree somewhat with your comment, guitar skills is not as important as singing. I am in the process of learning how to sing for that simple reason. I’ve been in plenty situations that someone who sings and barely plays guitar is far more entertaining to watch then someone who shreds. Now imagine being able to sing and play guitar well. That is where things get interesting!
That's a weird way to finger those intervals, I always did it powerchord style where I'll do like 5 on the A and 8 or 9 on the D for 6ths for example, it seems easier to mute that way
It’s finally happened - a Quick Lesson that I understood! Time to turn in early - day = conquered.
wow this sounds amazing, Rick .
Keep it going. Sounds like the start to a great song.
This pattern you play along with the synth sound has a real nice feel to it. It legitimately sounds like part of some epic song.
And thus a cool sounding melodic death metal intro was created lol
Beautiful chords behind the melody ❤
Loving these shorts!
LOVE your tips Rick. Said it last time, said it again
Rick you are probably the most talented guy in the music industry. You have the command many instruments
Love that wild P90 tone you get in these videos.
Learning so much from watching these 🔥🙌
Your a national treasure and an Icon Rick. Keep on teaching the people
God thats guitar sounds beautiful
Normally these are too fast for me to really get whats going on but this is a great lesson and such a neat technique good stuff!
You're awesome Rick! All love to you and your family.
Rick I could listen to these for hours!
Very Satriani sounding. Love it. Wish I had you as my guitar teacher.
Rick just knows the neck !!! Rock on brother !
This tone is beautiful
That is beyond f-cking cool and amazing. I couldn't tell you the chords but it's amazing! That would make a great intro/pre-chorus.
"Through the fire and flames" like that
That sounds awesome AND I understood it!
Such a creative idea 💡🔥🙌
OK, it’s officially about time for you to start releasing these quick lessons on Spotify- absolute fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cool idea.
Contrary motion in the bass line helped too.
Definitely a cool idea.
So rhythmical
Brilliant Rick
Great lesson! ♥️
Yep, almost like a manual harmonizer w/echo.
Love the playing as always
A professional Camera + prepared lighting- makes all the difference in the world

Congratulations Rick 👏 You got the gig 😎🎸
It reminds me of an (I think) 80's kind of summer driving song(?). I can't remember what it is now and it's maddening!
Simple and neat.
I love this so much...thank you sir.
This is the short that made me subscribe.
Jeez Rick. Amazing as always! Keep em coming!
Love it! Slow hammers with sustain.
Selective picking
That sounds really cool
I didn't think this was where this was going to go. But gonna try this out
Like that! And I love it!
An Endless Sporadic - Impulse
A Good practical example of this technique
That’s really rad actually
This is the only one he's ever done that I might can play lmao.
This one sounds amazing
Thats is a cool song. Excelent.
Whole thing's cool, but the last grouping & single note are the money! Dig the counterpoint of the background too
Love it!
This is soooo cool. Definitely have to try this.
Awesome sound! 👌
That’s actually really cool.
Your backing tracks are amazing! Do you add them later over the guitar part or construct them beforehand?
I wish I studied music theory
Super cool Rick
Fucking epic 😮
Well you've got a song there, or an instrumental - if you play with it a bit
🔥
Sounds like that could be a Baroness song.
Really cool!
Can you make a solo guitar album, please?
Please?
Please?
Please?
Love Vai, Love Satriani......
You can incorporate that with Michael Schenker’s Desert Song, and it will fit in nicely.
You have a Really Good camera
Cool!👍
that tone tho
Rick you are insane. This is more monster playing

It is a keyboard. I used to use the freeze pedal A few years ago but stopped because you can’t really do much with it

That's badass!
Add some drums, and I would listen to that every day! Top 10 hit!
I would try to make my guitar tapping sound like synthesizer
Thank you!
Nice!
This is how to make a scale not sound like a scale
Like that❣️❤️
What is the synth-like effect on Rick's guitar? Sound awesome
Sexy sounding sounds, Rick!
Niiice! Like that! 😎👍
Rick i Joe najbolji na svijetu gitaristi
Amazing !!!
I can’t pay attention with this delicious tone and wet effect
Love it
With strength.....from a place of power
Write a song using that!
This immediately Reminded me of Rob scallon's song called rain
Beautiful
Chuck some powerchords behind that and you got modern metal
Nice one.
I always see these videos when I don’t have a guitar near me to try
Hammer-ons from nowhere could be a metal band name :)
Very Cool Sir
A little faster and it sounds like a dragonforce
Creative Rick I like
Yup this is what U2 does 😂🤣👌
Sounds like Deftones 😋
How frustrating it must be that you are a better guitar player than some of the guitar players in the band’s who’s albums you have produced.

Can you triple track that with dissonant chugging rythms pleadse?
Noiiccee..an the stone cold look is boss afterwards I Wana be like u wen I gwo up
this kills rick. instead of climbing back up for the entire time, id go up 2 then down 1, then back up 2, down 1, roll out the sound a bit longer
You did notice the bass, right?
I like....up 4, then when the bass drops back down low do your idea.
Rick. You kill, as a mult genre artist/guitarist and multi-instrumentalist. Why are you not using your little finger? Cheers.
That's a weird way to finger those intervals, I always did it powerchord style where I'll do like 5 on the A and 8 or 9 on the D for 6ths for example, it seems easier to mute that way
I love that guitar!
🤘
