Seriously, this idea is a great idea. National chains. Cause my local donation stores are not up to snuff. I know its more expensive and that may be a hindrance to execute? I'd love one from target, or lowes/home depot, hobby lobby, or 5 below. You guys are both so awesome. Thanks for continuing to think outside of the box!

Yeah that was a very awkward design choice if that were my room no shade but I would immediately take those down.
Yes, 100% agree with you. I like the geometric look that they make on the wall but I cant look past them being back scratchers, kind of cheapens the room to me, but overall the room looks great.
I cannot BELIEVE this was done from the dollar store! It looks like a pinterest board!!! Also I love how you didn't "cheat" and go somewhere else saying "well you could get this at the dollar store" you stuck to the struggles of the dollar store near you and showed how to overcome them! A true diy channel, I learned so much!

I think the lines and wood element on the wall is fantastic but I would have cut off the ends to remove the curve/hole parts :)

This is giving me so much inspiration for our family home in Greece. I grew up there. It needs a good renovation and your videos really taught me that you can do great things with cheap items, as long as you are creative! Thank you Mr. Kate!

The back scratcher wall is like the perfect example of "creative weirdo"...it was weird yes, but at the same time a really creative idea...and personally I actually loved it! I love this! It really goes to show that you can have a gorgeous house on a budget! Have you guys ever styled a room with two beds? I share a room with my sister and it’s hard to find cute ways to style it and make it feel bigger/more roomy
Also the way children learn is amazing!! I love that he knows to try and repeat when you say, "Can you say?" 😆 Children are amazing.
Love the green, the hexagons and those painted bowls/vases! The doors for the bedside tables turned out great too. Love the textures!
I would recommend to keep the receipt because Dollar Tree does not return or refund but you can exchange I am a worker there but they will not exchange or return if you do not have that receipt😊

Wow what a transformation! So inspiring that you picked up all those things at the dollar store, so nice to know you can do a great makeover on a budget. Loved your dyi projects, especially the "making" vs "complete", they turned out so well! Love the backscratcher installation, amazing how you could see a back scratcher for its elementals -- the wood and geometric shape, and know that because of that you can make something that will look mid-century modern. You are a fantastic designer.
